Hi, my wife got her Pixel 6a wet and is not working anymore.
She needs to find a new phone asap. Any recommendations? Budget is around $800 Max.
Thanks in advance.

From comments , not my opinion
Bad support
Bad camera
Mediocre battery
Sounds like B/S comments as an owner of Motorola G51 and now a G84 I can comment the follow:
Camera - Good, takes better pictures than partners Iphone 13 pro from both phones.
Battery - Great, both phones can go more than 2 days with no charge (power saver turned off) even now after a year (or more) of use.
Support - NFI, support for what? Buy a decent case.
Updates - Lacking. g84 does still get security updates, not sure about the g51.
Homebrew - Lacking, severely lacking support from common custom firmwares/os. However the phones are very stock droid so probably fine. Motorola did produce an unlocked firmware for easy rooting which is good.
Total cost of both phones: $650ish (brand new, under $300ea).
Fair enough if you/the wife don't want one tho. I have no idea how their mid-upper range phones are.
Smart connect is also sick af.
or another Pixel since wife is familiar with its operation
The samsung A55 is solid for around 400-500. I previously owned a pixel 5a and consider the a55 an upgrade in most respects.
Hubby has the A55, very big and heavy
That's fair. A45 is probably better for people with smaller hands.
The Pixel 8a is $849 which is around your max. Just pretend it wasn't $699/$664 last week.

It is still around that price at Catch.
Edit: Nvm, it's grey import.
And definitely don't mention when Amaysim had it for $679 less a $200 coupon.
got her Pixel 6a wet and is not working anymore.
Pixel 6a is IP67 waterproof. I think wifey may not be telling the whole truth :)
Except I was there where it got wet in her pocket :(
jeez you must be a certified 10/10 hunk.
@eug: Thanks I get that a lot
Poco X6 Pro
I've heard and seen some weird connectivity issues with a new Motorola and ext speaker usage. Volume adjustment was user unfriendly if I recall. Can't recall the model number, but likely a software shared over multiple models.
Scrub Nokia off your list too. A fading shadow of their former selves.
Google Pixel 8 5G 128GB (Obsidian Black) - Used for a Few Days Only (Mint) - $559
