Battlefield 3 Premium Edition (PC) - $39.99 (Usually $69.99)

90

Not as cheap as Amazon's recent price of $35, but still an OK price for a great game.

Personally, I bought the RU BF3 version when I first came out to save $$ (it's the Ozbargainer in me), but I'm growing tired of changing the language from RU to EN. The expansion packs (B2K and Close Quarters) look pretty nifty too — are the servers still relatively full as they once were?

Hopefully someone finds this post useful!

  • Is BF3 Premium Edition for $40 worth buying over the Limited Edition for ~$21 for a casual gamer?

usually 50 bucks for the premium alone via origin. it provides the 5 extra expansion packs on top of the original maps. well worth it for the whole kit at this price.

      • BF3 premium is not the same as BF3 premium edition, I'm pretty sure. See below.

      It depends.
BF3 limited edition is ONLY BF3 (the most basic you can get)
BF3 Premium Edition includes the Back to Karkland Expansion (remastered from BF2) as well as the BF3 basic game
BF3 Premium = all of the bundled DLC

Personally I would only get the limited edition. If you really like the game, you can then choose to buy BF3 premium for all the DLC. I don't think the extra $20 for only the Back to Karkland maps are worth it.

      • BF3 limited edition is ONLY BF3 (the most basic you can get)

        No.
I have LE and it's got BK Expansion.

And FML, got Premium like 3 weeks ago via EA Mexico for $45.. had some random tax on it :(

      • If one were new to BF3 Sagiballs then the opportunity to pick up the extra 4 expansion packs for $19 (above the stated LE price) is a saving of $31 from what EA normally charge. Tryonthis may as well jump in the deep end of the pool as opposed to wading through the toddlers.

It's a good deal tryonthis and if you play as much as cwongtech does then great value for money and an excellent way to spend electricity.

Aftermath is awesome, Armored Kill is very playable. And Close Quarters is alright for one game every month, especially if more interested in a COD type of game.

Blimey, paid $50 just for premium membership alone, great deal including BF3 as well.

  • Damn it EA!
I already have the base game and wanted to get the premium edition so I could give the base game to a friend.

When you open up the 'show more' tab — it says Battlefield 3 base game not included — just so people are aware

    • There are two on the webpage
One for BF3 Premium Edition (includes base game)
and one for BF3 premium (just the upgrade)
both at the same price of 39.99$

    same price for either and if you already have the game you can only purchase the extra content;

as EA scream - SERIAL CODE REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO ONE ORIGIN ACCOUNT PER SERIAL CODE. SERIAL CODES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE ONCE USED.

so take that as non gift-able.

if you're gonna take on steam with your own client then you need to get the basics right dear uncle EA.
