Was looking for some bath mat and came across this.

Had previously bought something similar but almost double the price. Appears to be $39 at check out with coupon applied.

I bought a previous stone bath mat from Japan (DON DON DONKI), the stone bath mat dries really quickly and quite easy to maintain (No need to wash as compared to fabric mat). Should work the same!

  • was trying to find bamboo bath mat, and notice this stone bath mat at kmart, didnt purchase it, coz it smells bad.

Does such a stone bath mat good? or at least better than bamboo mat?

    • Im going to try the kmart one for $15 delivered along with a matching tray. Can't beat that price

I bought a similar one from mini maru, dries really quickly, doesn't smell like kmart ones. Currently on sale for about $52

I'd prefer to pay a bit more and buy from a more reputable source like mini maru. Diatomite has a history of containing traces of asbestos.

  • I've read somewhere that these don't last very long as it gets moldy and/or stinks

    • +2

I can confirm it doesn't last long. Mine didn't go mouldy coz I air dried it but it does stop getting absorbent after a few months of use. The porous stone structure probably gets full of gunk that can't be washed off and eventually water just rolls off no matter how dry it is.
