What's The Current Best Value $/GB MicroSD Card out on The Market Right Now

Just wondering if anyone has done the maths or calculated which micro sd card has the best price to storage ratio atm.

I guess I'm looking for any micro sd card above 128gb up to 2TB right now but I know the 1TB and 2TB cards are not good price to gigabyte value atm so I'm wondering where that sweet spot is right now?

256GB tends to be the current sweet spot.

      I found this unicorn deal

Samsung EVO Select 512GB MicroSD Card $30.78 + Delivery ($0 with Prime/ $59 Spend) @ Amazon US via AU

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/840129

Will probably never get there for a long while

What's the best or usual price you see for 256GB?

      • I paid $39 for a 256gb Samsung Evo plus from office works a few months ago. It was EOL and the newer model was more expensive.

I wouldn't say it was a usual price, but best at the time for something reputable.

      • I'm still waiting for another 512gb deal to come close to that, last was $32.69 in July:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/859081

Have you clicked on the MicroSD Card tag on this post and subscribed? Lately deals have been for faster rather than cheaper cards.

The last time I bought 256gb cards:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856395

  • may be 128 ? I got one for around $18 couple of weeks back. I use 128 for everything now

    • Was that the Samsung deal?

      • yes Amazon UK

  • [Prime] Samsung EVO Select 512GB MicroSD Card + Adapter $37.66 Delivered @ Amazon US via AU

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/833153

Looks like 512gb can hover around $37-$42 AUD

  • If you're not fussy about brand and speed, Samsung EVO Plus 130MB/s 512GB $17.99

    • Nice yes I'm not fussy about speed it will just be going into a phone for extra cold storage nothing special.

Have you personally bought from this store? And can verify their products?

      • Have you seen the feedback rating? Yeah nah

        • yeah this seems too good to be true i am not in the risk taking mood rn

edit: more research leans to a hard no on this seller

          • @AlienC: Slide 'seller reliability / reputation' up your list a bit, and maybe take a few $$ hit if you need to. It's not like you're buying multiple at once or per weekly.Pays to have a decent one in your phone, anyway.

            • @Protractor: 91% postive rating makes them a Top Rated seller: One of eBay's most reputable sellers. But each to their own…

              • @sumyungguy: I don't want to be the guinea pig this time if someone else can confirm they got sold a legit one that would maybe help me decide.

                • @AlienC: I don't know if there's even a way to tell fake vs OEM. With the cost of four lattes at stake I'm going for rock bottom price every time.

              • @sumyungguy: 91% is terrible (each to their own) There's a reason they aint 98% plus. And there's plenty who are>98%, and probs within a couple of $$$ difference.Anything less than 98% is a top rated seller in ebays eyes only.Ratings are a way of rewarding better sellers period. Anything below 98% is invisible to me, by choice.Ebay should make it a filter option to save me (everyone) the pain of shit attitude, drop-shipping liars.

      • No, but having paid $53 on Amazon I'd gladly roll the dice. I've found eBay's customer service is now at the same level as Amazon.

        • I am at a point where I will just wait for a sub $40 512GB micro sd card right now from Amazon than waste time and energy on this $18 potential ebay scam not that Amazon could also be a scam just gotta read the reviews I guess

          • @AlienC: All the negative ebay reviews are either German or Spanish, so have a translator handy (probably).

Kogan 43 inch TV's also definite no.. was tempting for the price but they seem to have higher chance of fire risk among other problems and inferior quality issues. Not worth the small savings.

why dont you do the maths yourself based on Amazon / staticice pricing and 3camel

  • I bought a 256GB 2nd Gen Samsung EVO PRO from JB Hi-Fi (price matched with Big Lee) for $59 just before Christmas. I'm very happy with it and seemed to be the best value at the time.

  • Ironically, I'm looking for 4 x Samsung Pro Endurance 256 micro SD cards or equivalent for Tapo cameras

Or equivalent to the Pro Endurance for cameras

    • Same here. No posts since August
