Gym Rack Solution with Squat Pullup and Benchpress for Balcony?

By balcony is rather large and I want to get swole (or at least not die from sitting down all day in front of a computer)

I am interested in one of those power rack things, but only really need squat, pull-up and bench press.

Squat and pull-up combos are pretty easy to find - but any bench press requires buying an extra bench which is annoying to move around

Are there any solutions out there with integrated foldable benches?

I came across this but it has no mention of how much weight it can hold, and the photos show the guy benchpressing like …25kg, which isn't confidence inspiring.

I think the question is how much weight can the balcony hold?

Much more than I can bench or squat lol

You won't be getting swole unless the balcony collapses.

You could just buy a bench and stand it on its end within the rack when not in use, is it really that much annoyance. Think of it as an extra rep at the start and end of workout.

You are talking to a guy who once chose one gym over another because one had stairs.

      • Just curious dont you find lifting weights near capacity much more difficult then some stairs?

Most other Chinese factories: use the absolutely worst photoshopping to photoshop their equipment being used by ripped dudes and ladies

This Chinese factory: get the random new guy in the factory to start ripping out db press for photo during smoko

    • That back row looks rather odd, good way to get injured.

This is such an excellent description

Credit where it’s due, this Chinese factory goes for realism

True - either that or dude is doing sleeper build and rips off his polo , anime style and reveals an immaculate tanned and ripped rig underneath.

@Gunnar: I like to watch his videos in background when I work out… just to realise how much of a failure I am 🥹

HOW IS HE LIFTING THAT LIKE ITS NOTHING FFFFFFF

          • @Gunnar: Just curious how long did it take anatoly to get to his current max lifts?

You can get rack where you hang the bench from the rack when it's not in use. Of course you need to be able to lift the bench in the first place which will be an issue for some.

As someone else said, I'd check what the balcony is rated for. You'll probably be surprised how little it's intended to hold. My rack and bench is near 200kg, add a few hundred kg of weight and the whole thing would be in excess of 400kg before you start taking into account people.

    • I've had 8 people - so like 650kg on the balcony before so it shouldn't be an issue - it's supported by a column as well

  • I got one of these foldable benches during Covid for my outdoor gym setup at the time - part because I thought it was funny as hell, and part because of the scalper market/shortage at the time. I still use it till today. (I keep my good benches inside for my indoor gym)

    +cheap
+functional (if you don’t mind it having no padding)
+uv resistant and waterproof and easy clean
+super light, and foldable for storage anywhere
    +suits most body sizes
    +up to 450kg capacity lol
+ extra seating for outdoor areas/ gatherings

/- no adjustable for incline or decline

Do floor bench presses. Safer as well/no roll of shame. Or buy a weight vest and do weighted push ups and dips and forget expensive weights and benches (although I guess you need the weights for your squats).

    • Do people not understand what floor presses are? Or what body weight exercises can do? Why all the downvotes? I see plenty of people buying $1000s worth of gym equipment when 90% of them can get the same results for a few $100.

    • One legged squats are an option. YouTube has plenty of bodyweight workouts.

  • Pick one that would make a great clothes rack, that's what most home gym equipment ends up being.

  • I got one from Aldi a couple of years ago that has been a game changer for me. I'll try to find a link
