Gaming Laptop with QHD Display and 3050 GPU or Better

Hello,

I am looking for a gaming laptop with similar or better specs than my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 16ACH6 (which has just stopped working as the display doesn't come on).

These are my current specs:

Graphics: RTX3050 4GB G6 128b
Storage: 512GB SSD M.2 2280 NVMe TLC

Power Adapter: 135W Slim 3P BK ANZ
O

Processor: Ryzen 7 5800H 3.2G 8C MB
Display: QHD

It cost me around $1.7-1.8k when I bought it late 2021.

My budget is around 2k max.

I definitely want a QHD display and a 3050 or better GPU.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

A little over budget but it's still a lot of machine for your money. It was $200 cheaper a month ago, I was kind of hoping it'd drop back to that (or lower) for black friday but no go.

    • Thanks for the suggestion.

I was actually looking at this one too:

      • The 4070 is better value for money, so probably try to get that one if you can stretch your budget a bit, battery life on both of those is very mediocre based on reviews

        • Any way you think I would be able to get it cheaper? Thought of maybe cashback (but saw no CB offers) and cashback on gift cards, seems to be at 2%.

          • @Aidan9800: I don't think you'd be getting a better deal in terms of price to performance until a good while, but too many factors to consider, 50 series desktop gpus aren't looking too good so no idea what's the case for laptops, moreover, laptop with next gen graphics/processors won't come around until Easter I think, probably the best you can get considering your scenario (dead laptop)

Also, there are other laptops with worse display, cpu and ram available for 1900 or 2000 range as well, with the same gpu, worse in value but if you only care about gpu, those are probably better, and they also have a better battery life perhaps, helios is notorious for poor battery performance I think

      • An RTX 4060 for that money is highway robbery
