    $1100 for a 2050 is not a deal

Ticks all the boxes for a non-deal

    Crap display: 15.60 inch 16:9, 1920 x 1080 pixel 141 PPI, IPS, 45 % NTSC, 250 cd/m², glossy: no
E-waste config: decent 4050's are already sub $1K
Build quality: any Acer chassis with a dGPU is a ticking time bomb, just look at their refurb store

The Acer and Hardly Normal head offices are 5 minutes apart so until Gerry starts the Professional Negotiations™ to bring this down to $499, hard pass

    • 45% rofl, why not just go with a TN panel?

My goodness 2050 survives as long as 3050

  • 2050 dGPU in 2024… Could overlook it as just a bonus for a personal laptop with good config for the rest, but then the poor display also kills the aspect of being a good personal use laptop

  • Such a bad deal mate

  • 2022 called and they want their deal back!

how is it possible that laptops are still selling with 2050s when the 50xx series is coming very soon

  • Sorry, i have to neg. This is a terrible deal, I wouldnt even suggest this for an enemy.
Mainly the price for the specs.

You could do allot better by just buying one of the sub $1000 4050 laptops and then buying a 1-2tb ssd and ram upgrade with the savings.

  • Pretty sure I saw RTX 4060 laptops selling for around $1200 in the past.
