    • I'm pretty sure that you will need to format the OS drive first then install Windows.

    • do I just need to plug the windows installation USB when the PC boots up and that will override the Linux OS

Yep, formatting the drive is part of the Windows installation process - just click Next Next Next until it's done.

  • @rep @luketechfast 4080 Deal still on?

    Thanks mate!

  • PC just came in the mail today. Theres a sheet inside from techfast with instructions on how to install windows but their method is to download the windows iso file onto the computer. I've already made a USB with the windows installation files can I just plug that in and boot the PC up?

Also does the PC not come with a power cable? Cos I don't have one…

  • Got an update majority of the system is complete for the 4070ti, that was well over 10 business days ago.. no reply from the team either when I sent through enquiries.

  • Just got my notification that "Your PC has been bult and is now in Testing."

    • thanks for the update, when did you order and which build?

      • Just advised it's been shipped. I ordered the AMD Ryzen77900xID RTX4470ti build in 27/12

        • Arrived well packaged yesterday

  • I ordered on the 26/12 and still says order placed, no progress since I placed the order. I emailed last week on the 13th day of build window and they said would be done within a few days, today still nothing… Emailed again hopefully I get it soon

    • I ordered mine the same day, it was built this week and its right now its at Adelaide airport with AusPost. If you consider the holiday break and they had a backlog of orders from October its been around 15 business days, I figured they are still churning through all the orders so mentally was prepared to get it in Feb. My order was the 4070ti with some custom modifications for reference.

  • +2

My one arrived 4 days ago, but it is not working. It might be GPU or PSU problem. Customer service only reply once a day, and never really look at the photos I sent to them. Very frustrating.

    • What doesn't work?

Ill outline my experiences so far (4070ti version)
      - PC arrived today, box and packaging all perfect, all parts there.
      - I noticed the GPU was a little bit loose so ensured it was properly slotted in. I think it can move around easily as its quite big and heavy.
      - I ran a bench of open source test and benchmark suites on Linux Mint and no issues were found.
      - I installed windows, logged in fine, rebooted it hung at the bios. Doh!
      - I restarted about 5 times till Windows repair came on and then I reset the PC. Then when I logged into windows, I installed all the drivers I could. LAN drivers, AMD Chipset and APU drivers, NVidia drivers, etc. I also ran full windows update. Then I rebooted.
      - Everything fine so far, still testing need to put the graphics card through its paces but looks promising.

Hopefully this helps you in your problem.

      • Would you be able to share the open source tests you ran please? Thank you!

      • I test the GPU with my friend’s PC, it works fine. When my friend’s GPU connected to my PC it also works fine. But when the original GPU and the motherboard together it is not working. We cannot figure out what is going on.

    • I just got my 4080 Super build today.

Black screen and peripherals wouldn't light up.

      Reseated GPU multiple times
Reseated RAM multiple times, Moved RAM to different slots, then tried just Single Channel.
      Cleared CMOS multiple times.

Computer works perfectly with the Integrated GPU.

Plugged in the new GPU, which is a Leadtek 4080 Super into my old computer.
Black screen and peripherals wouldn't light up.

Plug original GPU back into it which is a Radeon 6900 XT.
      Booted up perfectly fine.

      Dead GPU.
Unless someone else had any other ideas? lol

      • So if you plug in the GPU nothing works at all and your PC only works if you unseat the GPU? Or is it the GPU ports dont work and you cant see whats on the screen and the only way to see is to connect to the Integrated GPU?

Try different cable? Make sure your HDMI cable is of good quality or try any DVI cable etc.

Also what you described seems to be a very common issue for the 4080 Super so maybe try googling it.

        • Computer only works if I unseat the GPU. I've tried DisplayPort and HDMI on the GPU and nothing happens. I've used the same cables with the 6900 XT and its fine. With the GPU unseated and DisplayPort plugged directly into the motherboard for the Integrated Graphics, all works fine.

I haven't actually tried directly googling the issue specifically for the 4080 cards. I just did a generic troubleshoot of the issue and did the common fixes.

  • @luketechfast any potential for similar specced deals in the near future?

    • especially considering something with the 4070ti super

    • Given the insanity of the 50 series pricing in comparison to the performance gains I wouldn't hold my breath.

Places like PCCG are now price gouging the 4080s at nearly $2k because of demand.

Congratulations to anyone that jumped on one of these 4000 series deals instead of waiting for the 5000 series to launch. I now wish I had.

My biggest regret is not buying the HP Omen 4090 prebuilt for <$3700 when I had the chance 😔.

  • I bought the 4070TiS with a few upgrades, ordered 26/12, arrived 28/1 which was faster than expected.

PC works great, big thanks to the @techfast team for putting this together!

My only (minor) issue is that the case fans (two side, one rear) either don't seem to be addressable RGB, or aren't hooked up properly to the motherboard as they don't sync. The AIO and RAM do sync, and can be controlled via the Gigabyte software or BIOS, but the case only respond to the button on the case and rotate through their presets. This is fine, except since none of those presets is an OFF option, I can't turn the RGB completely off.

I'm planning to open the case up to see what's going on. At worst I might just unplug the RGB if that's an option so I can't avoid a permanent lightshow on my desk :)

    • I have the same PC as you

I didn't want to mess around with installing extra bloatware software to turn it off and there is no instructions for the case. People have already created a solution for this:

Download this open source and unzip
      https://openrgb.org/

Run as administrator, it will detect all RGB and the case fans. Turn it off, change colors etc etc.

    • I got the same build, but with a Magforge 320R case.

Happy to report that everything works well, very happy with the build quality and cable management. I got upgrades for 32 GB ram (they supplied predator vesta 2) and 360mm AIO, and the parts look decent.

Only minor thing is the RGB. The RGB leds stay on in sleep mode (tried turning this off in the bios etc). May be related to the RGB controller in the case. They do shut off when the PC is fully shut down/hibernating. PS, try holding down the case led control button for 4-5 secs - this manually syncs the case fans with the MOBO.

RGBs also seem to unsync with the MOBO every time it wakes from sleep or restarts. I have to manually press the led button on the case to sync it every time.

Not a major issue, still happy with the price and build.

  • I got my PC today, I had the GPU click thing on the motherboard was completely lose and rattling around in the system.. lucky i realised while taking out the plastic!

Other than that, PC arrived quickly from SA to Brisbane and was packed pretty damn well!

    Pretty happy so far :)

    • I'd like to follow up and update my experience on this.. as I can't edit my previous comment.

I've run into a few issues with my PC.. currently going back and forth with TechFast support to have the PC/parts RMA.

Has anyone had a RMA through techfast before? Please share your experience.

I've only been getting one support reply a day (if that).

  • +1

    My experience with Techfast:

    • Took 6 weeks for build to arrive on my doorstep
    • Upon switching on computer it was a black screen only to realise power was not plugged into the 4070ti properly
    • Going through windows setup and PC crashes on me
    • This cause windows to corrupt, windows repair couldn't fix it. SFC /scannow found corrupted files but unable to repair
    • Decided I would just reset (soft reinstall) windows but this was not an option either
    • Had to repartition the whole drive and install a fresh windows
    • Bypass the windows setup without internet since we only have WIFI at home
    • Installing all the drivers and updating all the components
    • Ran few bench mark test and rest of PC seem fine

Overall experience was terrible in my opinion as we pay extra for the prebuild.

  • Can we still avail it or is there any other rtx 4070ti super deal available?
