Weird. I cannot seem to get 10% off Uber gift cards. When I try to purchase a $50 Uber gift card and proceed to the checkout section, it still shows up as $50.

For me, it was $50 in cart but $45 at checkout.

  • is the promo credit from the Apple gift cards limited to only 1 transaction or can you receive it multiple times?

    • One transaction only according to t&c

The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items.

      • Thanks, I missed that part of the T&C

  • Do the Hubbl gift cards work to pay subscriptions managed through there i.e. Kayo, Netflix etc?

    Thanks OP.

I have a theory, been using uber credits for more than a year, but i believe uber possibly charges more for people who have uber credit/wallet. Nothing really stopping uber from doing it, and can only really test my theory it if i create a second account and try to get pricing for the same ride.

This was noticed because most of my trips would be rounded exactly to use up my credit/remaining credit on my account. Uber would be aware of discounted GC etc so they'll put a premium for this.

TBH there's no way to find out, Uber has been charging different base rate depending on the time, day and area since Oct this year. They will also say they factor the price based off the real traffic etc. Uber is using their algorithm to manipulate both riders and drivers.

For anyone waiting for the Apple GC to come through, I ordered mine at 6pm today (Thursday), I was waiting a few hours but no email. Amazon chat told me it will be 2pm tomorrow for me to receive the GC as Apple are doing some manual check and apparently it is for everyone not just me. YMMV

    • Glad it wasn’t just me, the 2pm time is interesting, ordered at 9:30am chatted with a rep at 1pm was told It was processing for manual verification due to the high value of the Gift card. Was told it will be up to 24 hours from time of order. Let’s see.

      • Missed two calls from an Amazon Rep (looked like a random number) and was sent an email talking about order authorisation, which looked very suspicious, but was actually legitimate and from Amazon (I called them via their website to verify). Didn't help they had a typo in the link, linking to talking about scams.

Couldn't confirm the authorisation through Customer Support but they sent a message to the seller (I suppose Amazon internally has different departments and can't make direct calls).

All my alarms were going off but as said it just seems to be manual verification, not sure when I'll be getting approval or a call back. I feel like they could be verifying this a better way

        • 9:30pm also isn't an appropriate time to make a call either imo (I reckon their customer services are located in another timezone, but basic consideration should be made)

      • Just to close this out got the Apple voucher at 2:30am and the notice of the $30 Amazon voucher 2 mins later

  • I bought uber and doordash cards at 10am this morning. It's 11 hours later and they are still pending. Nothing has been debited from my credit cards. Guess the fraud checks are up a notch or two this year…

    • Weird. I ordered a $200 gift card and it was emailed to me in under 60 seconds.

  • Placed an order for $300 Apple Card just now, see how long it takes to deliver and if I get the promo credit.
