Milwaukee M18 FUEL Self-Propelled Lawn Mower 18" Kit $1088.10 + $150 Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Tool Kit Depot

50

A good deal on a generally hard to find Milwaukee 18" mower kit. Boxing day sale across TKD so can pair up with other gear if you want.

The kit value is around $2000 if purchased individually so it is very good value, as most stores sell the skin only for the mower.

(1) M18 FUEL™ 18" (457 mm) Self-Propelled Dual Battery Lawn Mower (M18F2LM18)
(1) M18™ 6 Pack Sequential Charger (M1418C6)
(2) M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ 12.0Ah Batteries (M18HB12)

Was recently on sale for $1098 at tradetools and sold out nearly instantly: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/885357

TKD give an option for $150 bulky delivery as well which is useful if you do not live near their stores with stock.

Here's the first serious review I found on the mower if anyone else is interested.

As tempting as this is, I'll continue with my plan to grab a mower from the tip shop on Friday.

Far out, the Ozito equivalent (same cutting diameter, same voltage and also self-propelled) is just $599 at bunnings, with a 5year warranty.

The batteries on the Milwaukee if true are 3x the capacity, which is significant, but still not worth the $600 premium in my opinion.

    • I guess it depends on your ecosystem. If you are already in Milwaukee tools, the batteries alone in this kit are half the value. The Ozito tools are generally regarded as a lower quality than Milwaukee but online reviews vary so wildly with this stuff.

  • I've got a couple of 6ah HO batteries and they're already large. I imagine the 12s would be absolutely huge!

    • I use 2x 12s with my dual batt blower haha

Damn, that must be one heavy blow job

It's going for $998 at totaltools if you factor in the $200 of points

    • Any idea if you can price match and get still get the $200 bonus?

      • I surely doubt that

I do not understand why anyone would buy a battery powered mower. Especially at a rip off price like this. Even if you run out of petrol, it's still way faster to go to the local servo than to recharge the battery.

    • Cleaner, quieter, less vibration, don't need to deal with buying and storing petrol, no priming/choke/pull start, self propelled, less maintenance, no need to change/charge batteries for a small/medium lawn.

Battery mowers have their place, especially for residential use.
