Most Corsair/Elgato stuff doesn’t have good product support as far as updates and integration. Very limited functions and the functions that are most handy are made by individuals, not Corsair.
I have one with a lot less less buttons and don’t use all the buttons I have

I don't think age has anything to do with it. It's just another PC user interface.
@smurftastic: fwiw the market for programmable PC controllers beyond the basic keyboard/mouse combo is finally starting to see some innovation, so you'll probably bump into a lot more in the future.
There's some really cool tech for programs related to design & production work. Hopefully analog keyboards will start filtering down soon to those of us on beer budgets.
