Router needs to have login page exposed to the internet, which isn't on by default?

      • Not always true, depends on the vulnerability as to if it can be exploited from the outside

      • lol not that simple.

These are excellent for 24 hr recording. Stick them out the window and turn off night mode

  • I was disappointed that they are mains power not battery. Fyi… i didn't do enough research.

amazon makes it easy to cancel

or you could jerry-rig something up with a usb-c to barrel trigger cable TO usb-power bank that supports passthrough which supports voltage of camera AND solar panel for charging, just be careful with power banks outdoors get Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Resistant Bag

      • nah, i bought it on prime day in july and didn't know it was mains powered until around october when I first opened the package to install it. Saw the power plug and went… uhhh… how do I do this? It's been sitting in its box ever since, while I'm contemplating whether to get a sparko to put sockets installed high up near the ceiling or whether to go get something else that's battery powered.
I'm not looking at an outdoor thing… just indoor ceiling mount, but no power sockets near/on the ceiling (all my mains power sockets are near the floor just like any other regular house).
