                It never deserved goty. It was most likely the last of the 6 contenders from the options. FF7 rebirth, metaphor, even the DLC shadow of the erdtree would have taken it before wukong. Only leaves balatro but I still think balatro would have pulled ahead of it

          Good, GOTY is not a popularity contest. There's another award for that, "Players' Voice" which Black Myth: Wukong won.

          Astro Bot is the 8th highest rated game of all time on Open Critic, Black Myth: Wukong is 1216th.

          4 of the 5 family game nominees were single player games. I thought a family game was one that kids can play?

          Either way, Astro's Playroom was one of the best video game experiences I've had with my child. We got the Platinum trophy for it (only my second since trophies began on PlayStation), so we're both looking forward to Astro Bot for xmas.

    Plenty of people complaining that it won GOTY. Even Astros Playroom is one of the best games on PS5. The sound, controller functions, amazing visuals, and variety of gameplay. Even adults have fun playing it more than most other games. Astro Bot is just an improvement on everything. It really showcases the PS5 in ways that most other games can't. Theres no agenda. Its just a fun game for everyone with no real bad points. Most other games cant say they have that. No wonder it won game of the year.

      The only downside was that it ended too soon. Yesterday I had a Christmas gathering at our place. The game brought so many smiles and joy to the kids. Perfect game honestly
