  • What is the difference between the WRF610WA (Westinghouse 60cm Fixed Rangehood) and the WRF610SA (Westinghouse 60cm Universal Rangehood)? I've compared their specifications, and they seem to be identical.

About a year back our Westinghouse Rangehood crapped out on a Sunday arvo. I ordered a replacement from The Good Guys with 2 hours Click and Collect. Picked it up and installed the rangehood in time for dinner. One of those rare times when everything went my way after a whitegood failure.
That said, it was via The Good Guys Commercial.. from memory the commercial site was about half the price of the public site.

  • Yeah got one of these replaced my old 15+ year old rangehood, works great, bought the little extra carbon filter for the fan from ebay.

    • Is it easy to install?

I have the WRF610WA yep, for me it was re-attaching to the existing cut out area under the overhead cupboard, and it'll help if you have an outlet to plug in the power cord.

Once you open it up it's just the standard screw holes along the top, I've just screw it to my cupboard like the previous one, no other unusual assembly required.

It will be way easier having someone or something to hold it up in place for you as you screw it in though.

  • Weak unit, often I watch the steam drift across both sides of the filter and waft up the side and that's when it's on full power.
