Recommend a Tablet for Watching Movies in The Dark - Budget < $300

I got a Lenovo M10 Gen3 at ALDI for $99 early last year, and I've not much to complain about, in spite of the lowish specs, but for the LCD backlight bleed when watching movies in the dark at night (which, admittedly, is most I use it for).

I'm looking to pass it on, and replace it now. Do I need OLED? I don't see that many options on GSMArena but for the Samsung S8, S9, S10 and 2 new Honor's, which are all A$700+. No Xiaomi's, no Chuwi's, no Aldocube's…

What's your recommendation for < $300, and at least 11" screen?

  Read up on PWM you'll probably conclude OLED isn't for you.

    Ok, just did. My phone (a Xiaomi Poco m5s) is AMOLED, and I never noticed any flickering. Is OLED flickering noticeable to you?

  Man I wish those M10 gen3 deals would come back. Best at the moment is $199 at officeworks. Need one for my HA wall panel.

    They were $199 initially; they only went out for $99 bc staff hoarded them under the registers, didn't put them out on display, they didn't get sold, and head office kept trying pushing them out. I initially bought them for $199, and kept returning them every time they'd lower the price, first to $149, then to $99.

    But for your HA, you could get this one for $119.
