Here before the 4GB RAM comments

$244 at The Good Guys with price beat button for anyone with gift cards

    • Can't expect much from a $249 tablet. But it will get the job done for some people.

      • +2

Yes 4GB is fine for most regular tasks.

      • +1

Good for a home assistant interface.

        • Overkill for just this purpose. There are heaps of 80-90$ tablets on aliexpress that are more than capable of being just a smart home control

  • Says 8 gig ram in specs .

    • +2

That could be for the 128G model as it says 'up to 8GB' which is what the 128G model comes with I believe.

      • No, it clearly says 8GB for the 64GB model. 8GB also for the 128GB model. Bottom section where you open the arrows.

        • +1

Must be a typo, pretty sure there is only a 64G/4G and 128G/8G model from Samsung.

@sirlitchfield: Definitely an error by Amazon.

Just like the title saying "Unlocked" when it's not even the 5G model.

            • @HomeAlone: All mostly intentional marketting jargon, some people call it a blatant lie lol.

Further down in the "Compare Galaxy Tablets" section it says 4GB.

Model on Amazon is listed as SM-X210NZAAXSA

According to Samsung it is a 4GB model.

The model number listed on Amazon is SM-X210NZAAXSA. If you cross reference this with what is listed on Samsung, it shows that it is the 4GB RAM model.

Ouch.. not deliverable to my adress. We're just 27kms out of Melbourne cbd

  • i had the 128gb model, got rid of it because the touch screen would be almost unresponsive when you lean it against a pillow or something only worked good when holding it or flat. it was weird, not idea if they fixed that with an update yet.

  • Whats a good tablet to play tft?

  • +1

It does sadden me that my old Tab S5e never got a modern day replacement. I used to think by now you’d get oled Samsung tablets in this price range. It does impress me Samsung does 4 years of software updates on these cheaper tablets. Though if you want to keep it longterm you might want to get the 8gb ram model.

I still have my Tab 10.4 from 2014(?).

OLED, stereo speakers, 10.4", Multi window when it wasn't an android feature, and very light and thin… Absolutely built for a cinematic experience and ahead of its time.

  • Anyone know if its Good for home assistant dashboard?

    • You missed it already, Google Tablet was on sale for $349 during BF

      • This is 249.

    • I'm waiting on another sale on the Lenovo M10 Tab 3rd gen for this.

  • is this good for taking to the plane to watch movies? or any other recommendations. hoping there would be deals for boxing day

    • netflix or Crunchyroll offline download modes are good for that.

  • +1

Costco is selling it for $240 if anyone wants to try to price match at Officeworks.

  • +2

Say no to 4gb regardless of price. This is e-waste.

    • The one this replaced had 3Gb's :) if this is e-waste what's the older one. Also lots of new 2024 android phones only have 4Gb's .. This is not windows.. 4Gb's will be enough for a little longer 2-3 … 4 and even 8gb's is not enough for windows these days.

  • I have one that I bought for $379. It’s good enough for online browsing, media consumption and messaging…

  • Thanks OP, got one from the Good guys for $244 with $12.20 Cashback from TopCash @5%

Also the video comparing the 4GB version to the 8GB version is pretty good. All in all for general use, Netflix, YouTube and web browsing the 4GB is fine. Not good for multitasking. but thats fine with me as i close everything and only ever have 1 thing running at a time anyways.
