Absolutely blatant price jacking. Another site is selling what seems to be their signature bottle for $89 in bundles of two.
Purpleheart Whisky and Dan to Dusk Whisky are not stocked in Dan Murphys. We had a "lets see how these go" price offer. They went well. They are now back near where they should be, considering the quality of the whisky.

The more expensive bottles clearly state both alcohol volume and content volume. As we move down the list, we still get alcohol volume, but the cheapest bottle doesn’t provide either.
Not only do I question the legality of this for alcohol labeling, but it also feels like you’re being forced to buy a mystery product. The bottle is visibly smaller—likely 500ml—but for all I know, it could turn out to be one of those tiny miniature bottles.
Still does not change the fact that they are not stating it on their own webpage.
Is it up to me, the consumer to search for this??

@Goodradigbee: Mate, follow the link I have posted (Jarrah) and you will not see any bottle size or alcohol content.
On others it was just the alcohol content.

In summary, OP ran a special in them for $80 from what would usually be $130, yet under this 50% off sale they've jacked it to $225.
Isn't there a law against this deceptive behaviour?
I have raised the price. It was an absolute bargain to start with and I did it at the $80 because I was unsure how a shiraz barrel aged whisky would go. Plus, stock is now limited as it was successful, My thoughts are to see how it goes at that level. Even with today's sale it is still a bargain. If you think this isn't good enough, call me 0410841007.

they are on special. In this market, anything over $100 is slow to glacial to sell. It's that simple. They - these two whiskies - are in-market for a (very) special price. Ordinarily they would be over $130.
And a bit over one month later you had to pump up the price to 225 bucks a bottle because stock was flying out the door otherwise…….

I can't comment on the price changes per se but it sounds like there was an introductory price just not pitched as such. It happened. Through my interactions I don't feel John is totally across all the ins and outs of ecom but can see he is giving it a shot. I do feel his efforts come from a good place not greed.
Being in the ecom/digi marketing space myself, I can see a few improvements can be made in a few areas and that included my first purchase. The gin and vodka pack was offered here for $100 but to order two gins you stated this in the comments section. That's quite a risky way to set up the backend to ensure accuracy in shipments. That said a mistake was made in my shipment (and seems others) but John was fantastic and got that second gin out literally as I made him aware of the mistake (its tracking notification seemed to come through immediately).
I ordered a third Orchard Road Gin bottle just now and 3 others to try. I think some are 500ml and I would like to see that on the product page but I am still happy paying that price.
I expect @Goodradigbee will take the feedback on board (and add volumes) and I certainly hope more offers can be made here in about 3 or 4 months after this batch is exhausted.
Just to be clear I have no other affiliation nor interactions with John except that first initial order, the shipping error and now a second order.
Hiked the normal price up to deduct 50% off. You’re paying more than normal price.
