For successful tracking with AliExpress, here are some helpful tips from Clear.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback eligible on affiliated items only. Enter product ID or URL on this link to check eligibility "https://portals.aliexpress.com/linkchecker.htm", then click 'Get Cashback' to complete your order. A $30 cashback cap per transaction applies.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of the following items: face masks, medical consumables, gift cards, virtual products, coupons, travel, ebooks, AliExpress Top-up, and any non-affiliated AliExpress products.
  • Confirmation of goods received must be made in your AliExpress account within 90 days of placing your order to be eligible for cashback.
  • A $30 cashback cap applies per AliExpress transaction (unless specified differently during promotions advertised on TopCashback).
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

What else is essential

  • AliExpress trades in US dollars meaning the purchase amount and the cashback amount tracked may vary due to conversion rates.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • AliExpress reports transactions based on item and not combined cart value. If you purchase multiple items in one order, they will report to your TopCashback account as multiple transactions.
  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

    usually aliexpress tracks within couple hours. Last few I had didnt register. not sure if its my problem or theirs… but raised a ticket

    Same here, TopCashback didnt register my purchase from Aliexpress, logged a ticket and said it would take MONTHS to confirm, oh well, I am trying to avoid using this now unless it's too good to miss….

      i've never had issues. won't tell you the usual 'clear your cart before' stuff, but I would definitely recommend installing another browser on your PC exclusively for cashback sites. I use chrome with no add-ons, filters, VPNs, etc, and it works 100% of the time

        then went through topcashback and shopback tracked the purchase 😬

    I basically did all those except with a dedicated browser for cashback sites. On that day, I emptied the cart, disabled the ads block on Aliexpress and Topcashback, logged in Topcashback and clicked into Aliexpress from there. Topcashback did record my visit but didn't record my purchase, while I have no issues with shopback or cashrewards by doing the same stuff.

    It is suck, twice on my spends did not register. The item is only 150-200. Never again.

    This is the first time I posted an AliExpress offer. I also had an untracked AliExpress purchase for the first time (from 15th Sept offer). I had cancelled the untracked orders 3 times and reordered but still not tracked. I experimented with ordering separately and combined. Used TCB app with AliExpress app as well as PC (with no antivirus, VPN or ad blocker). Also purchased from 2 of the sellers before via TCB which had tracked previously. I've no idea why that order didn't track as I've been a regular AliExpress shopper via TCB in the last year. Final order was one purchase with 5 items from different sellers. Submitted the claim for each individual item (so 5 claims) on 27th Sept. TCB asked for the receipts and they paid the cashback in just over 3 weeks on 21st Oct, much quicker than I anticipated.

    I've made other AliExpress orders via TCB in Nov & Dec and they have all tracked within 15 - 45 minutes via TCB app to AliExpress app (using mobile data, Chrome, no antivirus). Changed how I shop and used the following tips from @Clear which are different to other retailers e.g. Amazon re: starting with an empty cart. I now add multiple affiliated items from different sellers to the cart first (either on PC or app), before opening the TCB app, then open TCB app and click through to AliExpress app to the cart.

    Perhaps try Clear's tips if you wish to place another AliExpress order. I took the risk and my orders have tracked since the untracked experience. All the best :)

    Open TCB app and click through to AliExpress app
    Go to cart
    Checkout & pay

    Alternatively step 2 is done on the desktop site. Click through to AliExpress, go to cart and pay.

        Yes, only for AliExpress you can add to cart first before going through TCB. (NOT with other retailers e.g. Amazon etc as it won't track.)

        I've done 5 transactions by adding to cart first, then click TCB app to AliExpress app to cart and they have all tracked. Last order was on 10th Dec.

    If you're purchasing something large i wouldn't go via topcashback. Spent over $500 in Oct, never tracked, 2 months later they "manually" gave me $25 which is obvs short of the 12% , i think there may have been a $30 cap though

      @johnnytran Hello again. We had a discussion about non-tracking last month. TopCashback seems to have a $30 cap per transaction for all their AliExpress offers. It would have been stated in the T&Cs and also posted here. If the items can be split into separate orders, then you can make separate transactions to get better value of the $30 cap per order. If you wish to seek clarification on your claim and cashback, please contact the rep tightarse.
