    RRP 😂

      As quoted in Zimbabwe dollars

    • -3
      • Which means the RRP is just $167.98?

      • +2

That is a Marketplace listing from Techunion (no idea who they are), they could list it for 1000000000, doesn't mean it's worth $40.

      • +3

Thats JB Marketplace, not the same. We don't and will not stock anything sold via marketplace.

        • -1

          BIGW is on $206

          • +2

@renish: Also a marketplace :) Which most likely you've done the listing for so you can say this is a good deal.

  • +4

279? Seriously? Should have put 579, lol

    • -3

JBHIfi is selling same for $167
      Amazon $146

Still two big retailer are selling at $167 and $146 respectively.

    • -3

      BIGW is on $206

      • +2

This is also a marketplace product, not sold by the brand directly. Stop trying to mislead people. smh

        • How is Renish misleading people, its $206 at Big W, not much misleading there

          • +2

@BatmanAU: They're misleading by stating that JB/Big W are the ones directly selling the product.

In actuality, it's being sold on their website by a third party via the stupid "marketplace" thing that all Australian retailers do now. Hence the price is set by that random third party and can be artificially inflated.

            • @ThighHighDemise: No idea, don’t have Marketplace.

So JB etc are selling these cheap items at the more expensive price?

              • @BatmanAU: No, they merely have a listing on their website a la Amazon or eBay.
You can see on the JB listing
"JB Hi-Fi Marketplace: Sold and sent by TechUnion"
So JB doesn't stock it or sell it, they simply provide the listing and traffic for 'TechUnion' - whoever they are. Any issues relating to shipping, warranty etc is not handled by jb but by TechUnion as they are the ones that sold it to you.

Most "online only" things you see on bunnings, jb, big w, woolies are sold this way now which makes trying to find items that are actually stocked by them annoying due to how bloated their websites are now.

It's 39 in digidirect as well.
    Is the RRP real?

good deal but how do this compare to Airpods. Haha

      • +1

Yes it is not a great deal, nice of you to admit it :)

        • -3

It was a typo; I meant to write "NOT A BAD deal." I would appreciate it if you could remove any negative feedback, as I have offered the best deal available in the market. While I cannot control the RRP or other external factors, I take pride in securing the best possible offers for our community.

          • +6

            @renish:

I take pride in securing the best possible offers for our community.

This isn't true at all - your last 2 posts weren't the best offers & it was only when members called you out on it you matched the price which I still wouldn't call a bargain.

Should I go back further -

Neg for issue with the seller, misleading comments. No I won't remove my negative feedback, that's not how OzB works.

            • +4

@WatchNerd: Agreed. It isn't up to members on here to hunt for cheaper prices when it's easy for the store rep to easily find their products cheaper elsewhere with relative ease.

              • Fake inflated RRP
              • Website is filled with obnoxious popups
              • Rep is trying to influence votes on OzBargain as per above.

              Total: 74 deal posts
Votes: 4.8 (Average) <- terrible and indicative of the quality of deals being posted by rep.

@WatchNerd: WatchNerd coming in with the receipts! Love it!

  • This is a very good earphone. Compared to my Sorny and LGE earphones, I find these ones better.

    • +1

I don't know if you seriously own these….How would you buy/find these before if they're so obscure?

    • +1

Oh grow up… $4 earphones are better than your Sony ones… *I dont believe you.webm*

  • +3

Fake RRP to enlarge discount %
Quoting "Marketplace" prices as a reference to RRP.
Asking users to remove their votes.
There is no way these would last 24 hours of continuous use

100% these are just generic Alibaba sourced bulk buy earphones with "Wave Audio" logos slapped all over them for a few $$'s more. They are literally all over Alibaba and similar generic headphones like this (even ones with fancy screens) run from between $4 and $20.

Why the hell does this wireless set of earbuds have an RCM logo printed on them?? This just screams sus to me if you are putting these kinds of logos on your products for, what? Clout? To make them seem more legit? I cannot find them in the EESS database anywhere, got some other compliance details so I can search these? Trading name? The model name I found was "3S-2300".

Edit: FOUND 'EM!! I knew it. These are the same as the ones I linked to a photo of above.

    • rcm

lol Chinese factories will just print any old random thing these days if it means securing a sale

      • +2

I can see the point of them requiring the RCM, as they would need to be cleared by ACMA because these are wireless, but I should still be able to look them up on the EESS website (ACMA and EESS work together), and at the moment, I cannot find them… so I absolutely, at this point in time, believe that this RCM logo is falsely applied.

Edit: I managed to find the parent company for “wave audio” called “Cellnet”. ABN: 97 010 721 749

I have pulled up every single one of their ACMA and EESS filings and NONE of these are “Bluetooth headphone/earbuds”. The closest they come is a “Bluetooth speaker”.

OK so the RRP is inflated… but these are widely available in Australian marketplaces for much higher… does anyone know this brand?
