Why not just pay a little bit more for pros?
because some people ears fit better in these
There's a subset of us that do not enjoy ful in-ear earbuds and that seal the silicone brings.
Half in-ear are a much easier fit for us.
I bought these over the pro 2 because every single silicon tipped in ear buds I’ve tried in the past have not fitted my left ear. These, on the other hand, are incredibly comfortable and secure and the ANC is more than adequate for my needs
As someone who has the same issues, the pros are probably the most shallow fitting in ears and are one of the only ones that fit my ears
I was wondering how they are at ANC. So not quite as good as the pros, but still pretty good, especially for those that the APP2s don’t fit as well or prefer a earphone without the tips.
For outdoor walking, the ANC is quite good. But it can not cancel load talking noise around you. This high-pitch noise usually is physicially blocked by the silcone plugs of in-ear earbuds so it is not a flaw of the ap4 with anc.
I am happy with this version of the ap4. Satisfies all my needs.
Not sure why all the downvotes, I think your question is reasonable. I upgraded from regular airpods to pros before an international trip and while they were great at isolating noise on the plane, they were terrible when I took them running (which is my usual use for airpods). As soon as I started to sweat, they would start to slip out. Environmental awareness is also more important while running. So I have switched back to the regular airpods.
Why not just get headphones then?
For what?
@kanigget: Instead of airpod pros? Get headphones?
@onlinepred: I said regular airpods were great for running, airpod pros were great for flying (for me). What would the headphones be for?
@kanigget: Why you get headphones instead?
@onlinepred: Headphones are too bulky
Perhaps keep the Pro for flights/work; and use bone conduction like Shokz for running.
i have pro 2 and i hate it. It doesn't fit and keeps falling down, i've tried all size tips.
Because no matter what, rubber tipped earbuds will not stay in my ears. Only the hard ones. Plus they're horrendously uncomfortable and get dirty easily
OW also dropped the price.
OW is always quick to drop the price on amazon sales like this lol so then people cant do match price
Price match OW to get extra 5% off in JB and pay with gift card (-10-15%)
Where can I buy JBHIFI Gift card for 10%-15% off?
Digidirect have them for $275, wonder if OW would price beat them…
DigiDirect charges delivery, dunno if Officeworks consider that when price beating
Hub by Triforce offers free delivery and 1c cheaper

This price is very tempting but I am waiting to accumulate enough points in Medibank Live Better rewards to get this Airpod. Just 2000 points short.
Wouldn't it be better to spend a bit more and get the Air Pods Pro 2 for $289 at JB?
Woulnd't it be better to read the above comments before commenting and see why some people would prefer these over the pros.
No, not really
No, it wouldn't, considering how many of us literally cannot use the Pros.
Do these have the hearing aid functionality like the pros?
Nein!
Pros don't have hearing aid functionality in Australia yet either, and unfortunately there's no indication of when it will become available. Apparently because they're selling the feature as 'clinical hearing aids' they need regulatory approval.
$268.99 at ebay plus
Reminder of the Amex Officeworks cash back to those who got it, makes it $246 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/882536
Price is horrific for the product class and audio quality… most shouldn't touch it above $200.
Keep in mind you're using TWS earphones for 3 years before you likely run into battery issues that are too expensive to repair, so budget according to your daily usage.
What are other good options?
Once you're heading north of $200, the answer is often headphones because you tend to get a better experience and they can actually have their batteries replaced affordably.
If you mean hybrid in-ears, probably the Galaxy Buds 3.
does this include the case
The only earphones that have ever fit me are the Airpods 2nd Gen. Does anyone know if these fit as well as those?
I rang around a few different officeworks stores and none of the ones near me had them in stock so I just purchased them from Amazon. Thank you for posting this!
price beat costco $269.98 @ OW = $256.45
