You don't really need ZIP Pay, just choose Zip pay and pay with discounted gift cards (I used ones from Macquarie Bank)

It says it on the eBay page.
from the item description:
"It's a new SIM card for new customers only, not for recharge by the existing Boost customers."Same as every other deals. Get a cheap sim to port to first. Previous years I had no issues on the boost chat getting them to do it, last year had to actually ring them.. but they more reluctant to now.
Could you elaborate on this please

Did you use eBay gift cards?
I'd like to know too :)
Did you select Zip as the payment method at checkout?
@salehiam - so basically, add the gift card code and the promo code in the "Gift cards, vouchers, coupons" section and the pay by zip option will go away?
In the app if you do not select zip pay you can't apply the voucher code and if you change it from zip pay the price goes back up
Thanks OP
Why isn't this SIM listed on https://boost.com.au/collections/boost-mobile-12-month-sims?
It is sold by various other 3rd parties (for ~$200), who say the following things:160GB base data on the Telstra 4G and 5G networks
Receive 10GB bonus data if activated by 10/3/2025
150Mbps download speed capIt is discontinued by Boost… get it while you can
They only have higher $$$ SIMs now
Is this 4g?
4G/5G Telstra network.
So has anyone actually used these sims recently?
I heard it only gives you $230 value towards a $300 plan. Looking for confirmation.
It's a $230 plan not $300.
The $230 plan doesn't exist any more.
One person said they instead received $230 credit and then had to pay $70 extra to buy the $300 plan.
I want to hear from someone who has actually activated this in November or later.. what happened to you?
I wouldn't expect that as you purchased a $230 sim. If they can sell it then it should be honoured until sim expires.
Recharging mine in Jan (however a mate activated one the other day).I wouldn't have been happy with that option - as usual you may have to try a few different boost agents before you get the desired results.
Activated a couple in early November (purchased in September) and had no issues.
@Ttam: Thankyou for replying
This is good value but not the best right this instant
I just bought a 265GB including bonus for $255 less $44 cashback from cashrewards so $211 landed since I've got a service expiring
An extra ~$31 for 95GB extra data is worth it for some people who are close to their 170GB limit on the old plan at the end of 365 days (I've been in this situation twice before blown my data wishing I'd got the higher plan and having to recharge earlier and I'm not a heavy user either)
For comparison for a data only plan Belong is $180 for 240GB which is also better than 170Gb if you don't need voice
I'd rather a discount on eBay than waiting for cashback. These are great for ~$170-180 (got mine for $160 with the eBay 20% off day not long ago).
Good to grab these old sims whilst you can - I assume most stock gone by end of month.
But yes not everyone needs that much data so either is ok depending. You don't really need ZIP Pay, just choose Zip pay and pay with discounted gift cards (I used ones from Macquarie Bank)
Sometimes it doesn't let you use the code if you haven't selected that payment method (ZIP). YMMV. I have no issues with Afterpay to get the code if necessary at times.
The cashback mentions that esim are not allowed for cashback. Is it possible however to convert to esim anytime later?
This isn't a cashback deal but I'm sure you could convert it later on (check the boost site).
Thanks! My question was about the cashrewards deal that @s3n mentioned. I hope converting to an eSIM won’t affect the cashback.
@bargain-lover007: No worries, best of luck be good to know if it's allowed
I've never used gift cards. Could someone please recommend a gift card to buy that can be used with this deal?
Not to worry, worked it out from the reply below. Bought $200 tech card via shopback and converted it to an Ebay card and used it to pay after choosing zip.
Hi. Which gift card can be used at ebay checkout. Thanks
You buy the tech card. After that you see the tech card in your wallet and choose to convert it to an ebay gift card, then use the gift card code in the ebay checkout.
I bought $200 worth and have $20.55 left afetr buying the boost sim plus I got 2.5% ($5.00) in cashback.
Excellent - just did this as well - thanks for the tips
How does one select Zip pay and pay with gift card ?
Select ZIP Pay as payment method which applies the code SAV30ZIP
Then buy a gift card using any of the services https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards
Enter the pin of the gift card at the same place where code was applied.
You just OzBargained mateDid anyone say you are a champ?
Thank you!!!Buy an eBay gift card or what specifically?
What for
Ok, quick question. When I try to add these to cart and select zip pay option and enter the SAVE30ZIP code, its giving me error that "looks like thats the wrong code. Please double check". Anyone else experiencing the same issue??? Please can anyone help with any steps that I might be missing.
Works for me right now (on app and website.)
I just realised i made one silly mistake… the code is SAV30ZIP, whereas i was typing SAVE30ZIP. works now. thanks for the reply though!
Copy/Paste is your best friend.
Great deal considering the official Boost Website is absolutely hopeless. I tried to purchase a 12-month sim on the TopCashBack deal and the Boost website kept declining me. I must have tried about 30 times using different email/name/card/address combos and browsers.
Looking for one of these $230 sims with Jan/26 expiry if possible
Australia day? /jk
https://www.auditech.com.au/boost-mobile-230-prepaid-sim-sta…
$200 delivered. Use code LASTSTOCK at checkout.
Miss out on 10GB bonus though.
@tenmill @McFly 45c cheaper with longer SIM expiry $179 170GB on eBay with same seller auditech using code SAV30ZIP
Looks like Konec Mobile also has 365-day plans, 259GB for $182 on Telstra wholesale 4G.
This seems better as 150mbps limited speed anyway on Boost 5G
Can i use the Woolworths gift cards to buy this
Any switched from boost to v due to price rise.
Im regretting going to v with the sale for half price of boost
Stuff ZIP.
A buddy of mine with an iPhone is getting the following issues, only a problem since boost Sim:
- messages are delayed to send
- messages are coming through twice to the recipient.
Any ideas, must be a signal or low priority connection (but showing full bars 5G)?
Cheers
