Which Additional Credit Card for The Most Qantas Points Points in Dec 2024?

Hi all,

So I hold a Citibank Citi Premier Card which is my main card for everything.

I have to spend 7k by early Jan on a wedding location and am looking to maximise my points.

Was thinking of the NAB Rewards Signature or 90,000 Qantas Points with the St.George Amplify Qantas Signature Credit Card ?

My issue is, I dont know if I would be eligible due to NAB e.g. having taken over the Citi credit card division.

If someone could guide me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks :)

You can also get Westpac to get 90,000 qantas points https://www.westpac.com.au/personal-banking/credit-cards/rew…

Most would be the Qantas Premier Titanium (150k points), but you're probably also interested cost per point so the $1,200 annual fee might be a problem.

That said, maybe the perks fit your needs. If you're honeymooning overseas then buy the base fare with the Qantas card for the 10% discount and use the points for an upgrade, plus use the First lounge passes? <shrug>

    • If you cancel in the first year do you have to pay the annual fee

    • NB. 200k annual income to qualify for Qantas Premier Titanium

If you're after points the Citibank Prestige would be pretty good ($10k min spend though) & $700 AF

there's also one with 150,000 velocity points in year 1 and another 50k in year 2 with them.

Else the ANZ QFF black is a good safe bet.

  • FWIW, I have a Citi FFFL Premier (thanks OzB!), and churned both the NAB Rewards Platinum and NAB Qantas Platinum about 14 months ago and got the bonuses as they're a. still separate to Citi, and b. separate to each other.

NB there's an 18 month exclusion period so I can't go for the Rewards one again until May 2025 and the Qantas one until June 2025. Note also NAB doesn't waive/pro-rate annual fees, but I met the minimum spend on the NAB Rewards Platinum so quickly that I got the points and closed the account before the fee was charged. 😊
