Try not to use these for hot food, or, as mentioned above, just get glass ones.

If you use cutlery of any sort with the container, you will eventually cause many scratches inside the container. This means you will consume microplastics as the plastic will eventually scratch off. Furthermore, if you wash these in the dishwasher, it will absorb the smell. Soaking it in hot water might help.

I get it, there is a lack of consensus as to the potential damage of microplastic, and we literally breathe in this stuff every day, but consuming fewer amounts is still better.
