There goes my already dwindling iPhone battery life.
    Cheers OP

Yearly and monthly subscriptions still cost. Has to be a mistake. Not sure I want to do that to a developer.

On the bright side, the app doesn’t collect any data on you.

Not sure I want to do that to a developer.

Um why does a camera app need subscription and not a one time purchase?

      • Good question. This one is free but subscription gets extra features.

I guess I would rather pay upfront. But, looking at the list of extras for subs, doesn’t even make sense.

This ever more popular selling model is getting out of control. Most often after a few years the annual fee ends up being at least equal to the prior once-off price.

Boycott this sh1t as much as possible IMO. If you're not getting ongoing service don't pay for it.

        • -4

if the app is updated then that is ongoing service.

I dont think many would be happy to buy "as is" and have the app brake with a significant OS update, or not work on their next phone.

          • +3

@ripprind: I would like the option to pay for updates rather than be compelled to accept them or lose the existing - pretty much like any other purchased item.

@fantombloo: Personally I don't like the subscription business model. Id prefer more control and more options. But I understand why companies would push for subscription model, and some of the reasons are legitimate. Developers have to make a choice - because for most its not sustainable to offer/manage different buying options. Most have to sell on platforms that don't even facilitate such flexible 'pay per update' solutions.
I would like to see someone try to sell apps for specific phone model/OS version. And then you just need to buy a new app for next major OS update /different phone. I'd like to see how well would that actually do. Considering an average smartphone lifespan is something like 3-4 years, and then the company would potentially get a new sale from that client. Could work?

It literally has a banner in the app that says “get lifetime pro for free”. So unless the developer slipped any typed that too I think you’re good to go.

      • Oh, didn’t see that. My bad. Carry on.

      • I did this and seemed to work, now checking in a few days later and looks like I’m no longer lifetime pro and just has a black screen.

        • No issues on mine. Working perfectly and says lifetime licence down the bottom.

    试一下 谢谢!

  • I only realised recently how dreadful the iPhone camera is for real nature photography……..

You cannot do low exposure with the stock app and there are no free camera app options. Utterly ridiculous.

Finally something like this is available.

    • You could always do low exposure?

I’ve got an iPhone 12 and the screen is black on the camera page with this app, anyone else got that issue?

    • 12 pro max and same issue

    • +1

      Same issue on iPhone 13.

I went to iOS Settings > scrolled down to the bottom to find the apps list > open the Even Linger app settings > turned off Allow Camera Access then turned it back on > relaunched the app and it fixed the issue.

  • Don't forget to go to settings and select PRO Lifetime for free.

While it claims "Free for lifetime" in multiple locations, I've just been charged $15.99 for that same "free for lifetime". Awaiting the refund.

  • +2

    59.99 pro lifetime ?

    • Same for me :(
