    I’d be hesitant to touch grey import mobiles at the moment, with reports of devices that can call 000 apparently having been blocked from networks.

    A relative was able to get Officeworks to price beat Kogan for a final price of $968 (although they did buy 2)

    I wouldn't expect a grey import of a Pixel to have any issues especially since there's only 3 models worldwide - US (mmW), Japan (Felica), and RoW. Most likely the phone you'll get will be the exact same model number as an Australian model.

    With that said, you can definitely get the Pixel for this price from an Australian Store with Australian stock, and you wouldn't have to deal with Kogan's warranty.

    I am on Pixel 6, still OK but battery is not good as new.
    I don't want to spend too much on the phone, should I just go for the 8?

      I'd steer clear of the 8, I had to return 3 that got display issues making them unusable all within 3 months. Known issue of green vertical line on screen/screen flashing green/going totally black. Ended up getting a Samsung s24 and it's SO much nicer. Had been on pixels for ~6yrs prior

    I once bought a phone from Kogan which was marked as "Australian Model". Sure, it was the same "model" as the one sold in Australia, except it wasn't "Australian stock" but NZ stock, which meant that things like Samsung Pay wouldn't work.

    I'd bite the bullet at $100.

    Worst case when it doesn't work with any carriers. I'll use it for YouTube/games
