If any QLDers don't know yet, a little wild goose chase will help with their learning

I used this a few months ago but it was 50 off 150. I chose three different slabs of beer, but when it came the guy said two were out of stock.

I checked my order, I was refunded for the two out of stock items but still received the 50 off. So I in the end I paid the balance after the refunds and discount plus delivery, under $10 in total.

I might try that on… order just over $200, tell instore don't need x,y,z and get refunded in store for those purchases while keeping the $60 off. I wonder if their instore systems are smart enough to detect the promo and reprice.

      • Doesn't work unless they cancel it.

P.S. - Enjoy asking to modify a Coles online order in store. The store will want nothing to do with it. They will say, call and take it up with Coles Online. You will have to call a number and wait on hold for an hr or so..

        • lol, fair enuf. I have no patience for on hold sh1t and being sent from pillar to post so this is only viable if by chance it’s a legit out of stock scenario.

Yeah I had that happen to me with 2x Glenlivet 12Y earlier this year, but they only had 1 when collecting. Ended up getting the one bottle for like $30.

I just placed an order over $200. The order summary in my confirmation email shows prices after a $60 discount was applied proportionally to the original item prices. I'm unsure if a refund would be based on the original shop prices or the discounted invoice prices?

Been going for ages. Best not to spell it out in such detail

    • Before I tried to use my local liqourland to check for out of stock items and compared it to Coles, but in the end they had stock

How are you guys going in store? I'm in SA and I always have to pickup from the Coles direct-to-boot bays. Liquorland seems to have nothing to do with it.

    • I once just went to the store information desk and asked to collect my order there as I couldn't find the direct-to-boot bay for a specific Coles in a shopping mall that I don't usually visit, but other than that I've just done direct-to-boot for my local Coles.

Oh, and before Coles World Square was removed as a valid Click and Collect location, you'd do the same there, just collect from the information desk.

    • Yeah I understand it comes under the Coles liquor license so has to be handed over by a Coles staff member (& not all Coles staff are able to transact liquor)

  • Some great deals on here if you're buying base spirits like Vodka O. Just spent over $200 and saved $90 on my order :)

  • Found the following to be a good deal
2x Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve (Approx. $46/bottle)
    1x Glenlivet 12 (Approx. $53/bottle)

Total = $141.70 (with CR cashback)

I only got the Carribean reserve to try and I always drink GL12.

Or you can opt for 3x GL 12 = $161.25 (with CR cashback). Comes to about $54/bottle.

    • will that reject through CR with the code?

      • Received Tracking email not long after putting order in. $5.12 cashback.

Though the status of my order is 'Order placed'. I've had multiple cancellations by ColesOnline so let's see if they honour this. They use the same excuse at Coles service desk "no one with RSA to process it at the time so it was cancelled".

Re-write the post as "30% instant cashback on $200 spend" ..and you will have a zillion up votes.

I initially put through and order for $100 for the $20 back but then realized it was 30% off over $200 so I modified my order :) Much better than waiting months for a cashback!

Thanks, OP. Picked up 2 bottles of Chita for $82 each.
