Was looking to book a ticket to the US for Easter break and found a good deal on Fiji Airways for $1405 pp. I only checked for the following dates

05 Apr 2025 Onward BNE to DFW with a short layover in NAN
01 May 2025 Return DFW to BNE with a 16 hour layover in NAN

There could be more dates with similar pricing, check out.

      Mainly because the seats were super cramped (I'm only 5'11 and had to sit at an angle), the food was inedible, and the service was poor. We had a lot of turbulence halfway through the flight and I spent several minutes vomitting in the toilet. When I got back to my seat I asked for water and they brought me some in a tiny cup, like half the size of the ones you get at water coolers. I asked for another, explaining that I was feeling sick, and they brought me another tiny cup, but from that point on they just ignored me when I'd hit the button or try to get their attention.

      Hopefully they've improved since then. It's been a little over 10 years. Reviews don't look too promising.

          @ChunkyToast: I would say Fiji airways seats are better than Qantas. Been on a couple of their flights and I'm 193cm.

        I flew them recently on their A350s to the US.

        The legroom is good; better than Qantas and the A350 is a nice plane to fly on, much more comfortable than Qantas' 787s.
        Wifi barely worked but entertainment was ok.
        Crew were also friendly.

        Fiji airport is tiny and gets quite crowded when many planes land at the same time, but I've been to worse.
        Food was the worst I've had in a long time, out of 4 flights two meals were inedible the others were 'bad' and the portions were small.

        All in all I'd recommend though, good price and good flight as long as you eat before the flight.

    I checked this morning and fares came up to $1600+ for one adult which was similar to AC on this route, hence marked Expired. Do you mind sharing the dates with the cheaper fares? I am yet to book as the dates were not exactly what I could get it work for me. Looking for QLD school holidays as well.
