i mean its oil!
Dress your salad with rapeseed (aka canola) oil then 😆
Olive oil is practically medicine; the more robust, the better; more powerful, more effective.
what makes it more robust
bioflavonoids concentration
The package says the light version is more sweet and fruity, while the most strong one (dark green) is on a bitter/spicy side.
and the middle one ?
Any way to check local stock? Cant see it on website or the app ;(
If you log into your Coles account and do a dummy order at your local stores for C&C or delivery, it will be a rough indication of stock levels. Not always accurate though.
This will be great, just don't buy your beef from Coles they like to put drugs in cattle that is sold to Coles and not disclose it on their products like regular ingredients. This has been ongoing for 12 months now around the country. Look up Bovar and Coles.
Gut feeling… (pardon the pun), this sounds weird and not safe for the poor cattle

It's Bill Gates' "climate saving anti-farting chemistry".
Sounds like it goes on a discount once a year.
Equivalent to the $50 $3L cans a few months ago.
Yeah… but this is more convenient. I think oxidation starts when you open it so you can delay starting the process a little bit.
However, cans provide more protection against light.
My family eats tonnes so we finish cans in around 2-3 months.
I've been to a couple of Sydney CBD stores around noon. The first one had a couple of Mild (1 drop) bottles left. Another one had three Robust (3 drops). Purple was already sold out everywhere. Though I've personally checked there was decent amount in stock on Tuesday at 9 pm.
Is the Purple better than the Robust? Went to the Adelaide CBD store just before closure time this evening and all types were in stock, so I bought 2 Robust bottles. I always thought that's the top quality between the three.
Um, I'm not sure about "better", but it's the most popular. I think it's considered just the right amount of flavor, whereas Robust can be perceived as too strong (overpowering for salads).
Gotcha! I might get a bottle of that next time I go to the shops and compare the two, for future reference. 😁
@AussieDaddy: Comparing side-by-side is ideal if you can swing it!
@lostincanberra: Not sure if that's euphemism or not. 😄 If not, then are you suggesting by sight, or should I have to taste both to figure out the flavour I prefer?
@AussieDaddy: Hmmmm…
I'd try and taste both - in the same session. Then you don't need to rely on your taste memory so much.
Some crackers or simple palate cleansing snacks help. Tasting straight EVOO isn't easy. Although, that's probably something to do with my ill educated palate!
I did an online tasting of Cobram EVOO during the COVID-endtimes. They sent out a kit with samples (modest price).
Of the regular varieties, I found the 'Classic' to be the most palatable for use in salads and good for cooking too. The 'Mild' was not really punchy enough and the 'Robust' was a little too bitter for my salad dressings.
Weird I missed this previous comment (it fell in a new page and the site took me to your other comment when I clicked on the newest replies). Will give two flavours a taste and decide which one to buy in the future…. hopefully when prices come down more, fingers crossed. Can't justify to get all three types to taste now at this price. Ta
good deal bought 40 of them.
Unless you guzzle a cup every day, it'll spoil.
Even if they are not opened?
While I was buying this I remembered how I would wait for entire tins of virgin olive oil to be discounted to $25. Not sure what that is adjusted for inflation.
Not all virgins are made the same.
Costco Epping VIC, has 2L Kirkland EVOO for $20. Possibly at other Costcos. Worth checking.
Where is the EVOO from? Good deal if from Aus.
selected oil from multiple origin? https://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature%2C-organic-extra-v…
does anyone know if this is still in stock? not available for delivery or click n collect. the shelves are wiped out.
You can try calling Coles 1800 061 562 to check if other Coles near you have the stock. Coles used to provide rainchecks but I haven't asked for one recently.
I wanted to try a different flavour and a store I went to on Thursday didn't have stock, so they offered me to get a raincheck voucher, so I think they still do raincheck. Woolies is (was) the one that was pulling the "… supply/Covid" excuses the last time I tried.
Thanks. Good to know.

The shelves were cleared at a Coles I checked out today,
but thankfully, Coles did issue me a raincheck for these Cobram items.
The raincheck limit is 6 items.

currently unavailable online for me too :\
Thanks OP. Got 3 as BBD last for about one year.
Luckily I still have a few 3L Red Island & Cobram purchased during specials last year in the cellar, which should tide us over for some time..
Currently at a store in Sydney and it is not discounted. I thought prices in the catalogue apply everywhere. Is that not the case?
It is, but they seem to have removed the labels
Can get a rain check at any Coles if OOS so can then purchased any time in the next 30 days when stock available.
Yes, within 30 days and the raincheck limit is 6 items only.
Just found a box of the classic flavour on top of the shelves at Melbourne Central. Grabbed one, probably 5 left. Rest of the shelf was cleared so I think I got lucky looking
Try going to coles tonight. Staff are restocking.. and they were in stock. Actually went in to do raincheck… but they were there.
How do you do a raincheck?
Ask staff at the service counter and they will write you a note of the item, quantity (I think limit of 6) and sale price. It's valid for a month at any Coles store.
