bought for $168 last deal is decent enough esp for 1080p gaming any bigger want 2k
Gaming @ 1080p, 27" is the largest size I would buy. Gaming industry favourite sons tell me 27" is no good & 1440p is ideal, eg Fishy932.
Ideally, try to locate a store that have this as demo & SEE it for yourself. Take all the write-up as a guide only.
However, for those who demand sharp edges from text, CAD, photos editing…grey area @ 27": likely driven by budget & preference.
Hint: images are NOT-moving.
1080p at 24" is decent but 27 is really pushing it. You can literally count the pixels.

At what distance (eye to screen) form the basis of your comments: your personal experience ?
It's not a trick question & I'm open to broaden my horizon.
@ab c: Was building a PC for someone and bought them a 27inch 1080p monitor. Reasoning was because I had always always read that 1080p at 27 works but that is the limit of 1080p.
Don't know the exact distance but was setup probably 0.5-0.6m away from the eye. I was embarrassed to see how blocky all the text was, could count all the pixels on each character. Luckily they didn't mind. Since then I have always gone 24" when building PC's for 1080p resolution.
what is better? the Omen or this LG Ultragear $159 at PCCG?

Imo The Omen. The LG is a VA and has all the typical pros and cons of a VA. Better contrast at the expense of motion performance and dark level smearing.
I agree It’s a preference. Personally I don’t like IPS panels. They all look (all the ones I’ve tested) washed out and the blacks suck. Nothing is black, it’s all a whitish grey.
Much prefer a VA and I don’t notice the smeering. At least on my LG Ultragear VA

Kudo…by any chance you saw a monitor that in your opinion was at odd with Rtings reviews ?
Why aren't there any good 34" IPs deals :(
Why stop @ 34", maybe more luck with 4K TV ~ 40" 🤣
Are you better of sticking with 24" with 1080p?
I'm thinking stretching to 27" may make it a little more pixelated or is it not noticeable and the bigger screen is better?
Depends on usage, imo if it's mainly for games and video 1080p is fine but if you read lots of text then 1440p becomes more important.

Gamers, test your favourite games @ a local gaming lounge & see it for yourself. Hint: images are moving.

for work, how is this monitor? will be email usual office stuffs
I feel like this is great value for a 4060/RX6600 build. Or someone with a Series S. These sorts of monitors during covid would've been 350+
