Perfect timing, thanks! I'd just stripped the couch/cushion covers on my couch to wash it and noticed a bunch of stains that I was thinking about how to clean off and then I saw this deal and I have many other uses for this at the moment as I'm deep cleaning much of my house right now, my car could use a birthday too.

    • It smashes through the liquid, I got one and tried doing ours, standard 3 seater and 2 recliners used 3-4 tanks. I guess they're more just for a spot clean here and there on rugs etc.

      • I have another Bissell unit I would use for carpets and rugs, I also bought a large jug of upholstery/carpet cleaner solution at the time I got the other one, so I'm not too fussed about using a lot. I had to refill my carpet cleaner a fair bit when doing my rooms too.

        • What unit do you use for carpets?

          • @Dave0: Bissell CleanView PowerBrush, I bought it at Godfreys on special a bit over a year ago.

            • @deventer: Thank you mate, didn't realise it was a stand up model.

      Longest sentence ever.

      • Oops. :)

Good deal. Bought the Kmart one for $99 - does the job but would've opted for the Bissell at this price.

I'm thinking of getting kmart one too, would you recommend it?

      • +2

Works fine honestly, comes with a few good scrub heads too. For something you use every 12 months it's more than adequate. Would recommend. Paired it with the Bissell 2x spot clean from TGG.

        • The only annoying is the water capacity so will need to change more often if you have a bunch of stuff that needs it. If its just a a fre small items or a couple of bigger ones might be ok to just buy kmart

@TheFIREnanceGuy: That's true - needed to dump the dirty water about every 10 mins and refill clean water every 20 mins. Small price to pay personally as my back needed a break every 10 mins anyway :D

    • Same price as the vax spot cleaner at bunnings rated 400w. Not sure which one has more suction power.

    • There is one at Amazon at about the same price 170$ from Hoover. Not sure if it's good. Which one is worth buying?
      https://www.amazon.com.au/Hoover-CleanSlate-Upholstery-Porta…

      • That looks uncannily similar to the Kmart one. 😂

  • Whats the diff with this one and
https://bissell.com.au/products/spotclean - can it do inside the house too?

    • +1

Answering myself from Bissell website's compare:
They are essentially the same and both say can be used on 'auto interiors' and also interior/house 'rugs' and 'carpets'. Auto Mate product pics have show it being used on an house carpet too. Few diff tools & config though:

      BISSELL SpotClean
      Hoselength 1.3m
3" Tough Stain Tool ($30 by itself)
      Hydro-Rinse Tool ($17 by itself)

SpotClean "Auto Mate" (not just discontinued "Auto" model)
RRP $10 more than normal Spotclean
Spot & Stain "pro-dry" formula over normal Spotclean Spot & Stain non-pro-dry
      Hoselength 2.2m
2-in-1 Spraying Crevice Tool ($14 by itself)
      3-in-1 Tool ($42 by itself)

Auto Mate looks better value to me.

  • what's the different between different color. I would only use for Upholstery, which one is better? thanks

  • I've got a square of carpet in the house - 4x4m that needs cleaning every 6 months or so, imagine this may be a little big for this unit, any recommendations for a product that would suit?

    • +2

Hire one from bunnings or coles for $40, will get a better clean and can do other rugs/couches etc while you have it.

  • How does this compare to wet and dry vac? Could you wet scrub carpet and just use wet and dry vac to vacuum?

    • +2

I can't imagine the tiny motor and battery on this unit to have the same suction power as a full blown shop vac.

You can buy an extractor wand attachment for the vacuum and just use a pump spray bottle to apply formula, atleast that's what I've been doing for couches and small jobs.

      • I can't imagine the tiny motor and battery on this unit to have the same suction power as a full blown shop vac.

It's not as powerful as a shop vac (330W), but FYI it's not battery powered.

      • +1

Can confirm, I used to own a SpotClean and realised I could just use the wetdry vac I already owned, so sold the Bissell and I've being doing exactly as you described. Works better than the Bissell due to the larger cleaning head and higher power.

  • Hwo long does supercheap credit take to come through?

  • Is this effective on leather surfaces?

  • The spot cleaner solution is expensive and doesn’t last that long. I’ve probably spent more on solutions than what the unit cost.

    • just buy a 5 ltr and dilute. plenty out there.

  • Good to use mattress? Also how can use super cheap gift card at online store ?

  • What's the best spot cleaner solution to use with it?

Funny seeing this show up on ozbargain, I just ordered this myself (for $154 but still listed at $167)

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07CH4WZJ9

It looks identical but might be a slightly different model

    • Isn't that a UK import? It might have a different plug, no?

    • Supercheap one has different attachments.

  • I had one of these, and the problem I had was that you clean one spot and then the dirt gets pushed outside that spot. So you clean that area, and then next thing you know you’re cleaning the whole item

    • I know what you mean, i found out the trick is not make the area so wet, then do multiple passes

  • Had one too, quite troublesome. Had suction start and stop, leaks, last straw was finding a crack in one of the bottles. Must have been from dropping in the sink while washing it.

I have a wet/dry vac (shop vac) so instead bought the RipClean extractor hose & head many pros use for car cleaning. Brilliant - I even shampoo the dog with it.

Then bought their carpet wand and do my carpets now.

  • This + ozone generator = odourless cars.

  • Does anyone have a decent home-made recipe for cleaning solution for this unit? There's a few online with American ingredients…

  • Does this item come in a box? I ordered last night for click and collect, just got it earlier and it was just wrapped in plastic. No box, no manual or warranty card, was a bit dusty and the switch was in the on position. Thinking if I was given a used item.

    • Seems like they have given me a display item. It was dusty, switch was in the on position, there was no box, no manual or warranty card, doesn't have the sample cleaners, and not sure what else could be missing. Was told that I was given "the last one" from their stock.

      • Does that warrant a neg on the deal or a negative review to Supercheap. Probs the latter
