TCL 75" C655 QLED 4K Google TV $995 ($885 via Price Beat Button) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ The Good Guys

830

Been scoping the tv deals out and being in Central Queensland, the delivery fees were huge. I noticed this tv now comes to $885 via the price beat button. Not only that, but the delivery was free and the nearest store is over 100km away. Not sure if free delivery applies everywhere.

Don't forget to use cashback. Top Cashback currently the best at 5% (supposedly still works with price beat).

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2024

There is no promo code mentioned? Just the price beat function to get the $885 price. According to previous threads (not sure how to link the comment), cashback usually works with price beat feature.

  • any local dimming zones ? their website doesnt state this info.,

    • +2

no, you will have to go to TCL C745 or C755 to get mini led and the price is a fair bit more. Try Hisense 75U6NAU instead - price will be better for mini led

Yeah I'm with ya. I think 65 is as big as you want to go without local dimming.

      • No complaints from me with 98"

      • $1599 for the 65" TCL C855,,,,Lots of NITs and lots of dimming zones…..

  • Looks like a price beat with Costco as Betta and Stan Cash have gone up.

This was for $791 at JB hifi with free shipping. I just bought it yesterday only

Are you talking about Hisense Q6NAU?

    • +1

This model has never been that low

      • -3

Made a deal with JB to price match hisense on $791 with hisense. Also paired it with Samsung soundbar q990d to make it a sweet deal for them as well

        • +3

This post is not for a Hisense..

    • Mate good luck. But I will never buy hisense tv not let my future generations to buy it. Shit tv, takes ages to load. I bought one from jb few years back that P78 something and boy I regret everyday.

For what it's worth, I picked this set up in the last round of deals from JB and found it to be less than great if I'm honest. The screen just doesn't seem to get bright enough and looks a little flat. I could have dealt with this though if it wasn't so laggy. Navigation around the home screen was okay even if there were a lot of hitches, but apps like YouTube or Plex just don't do well on the set causing my wife and kids to get frustrated with unresponsive menus and spinning wheels.

    • Spend the $50 on a fire stick (or whatever you want to buy) and never look back. Low end TVs have atrocious OS setups generally speaking, and typically they just become slower and slower with time and updates. Get a streaming stick it will be an entirely different experience.

      • I agree with you. I have an Hisense and another cheap brand and the built in smart tv it’s always slow.

        • +1

I get that. But how do you guys deal with terrible boot time. These takes ages to turn on. I sometimes unplug the tv power cable but that is frustrating as hell.

          • @Ozie: Mine don't take that long. I have a Linsar and a Hisense

            • @fozzie: Ideally I'm looking for a single remote kind of solution and HDMI-CEC does get you most of the way there, but there is still some caveats.
For the most part this is a very good suggestion.
The boot time on the TCL is very slow and was only adding to the frustration. I'm the sort of person who turns the TV off at at the wall for the night so each time I went to use it there was a slow boot and lots of lag for the first minute or so (+ random 'app not responding') behaviour.
Again reflective of my experience with this particular TCL model so Hisense might be better in that regard.

Counterpoint, I bought a fire stick and it went in the bin about 2 weeks later. Support for Australian apps was atrocious, it was full of ads, and they seem to be locking down the ability to sideload apps

We gladly went back to our horrendous 2015 Samsung's built-in it was that bad.

You need to use the downloader app to sideload, I use firesticks everywhere and they are great. I watch everything on stremio with no problems.

          • @Jezzabell: I'm not sure having to go to this level of effort makes it an entierly good sell to those who are not tech focused and just want to sit down to watch something at night.

          • @Jezzabell: Yeah I tried the downloader and had no luck, with a lot of effort I managed to download apps but they refused to open. I found a lot of evidence that Amazon is making it harder to sideload, could just be on newer firmware?

Regardless it was a horrible experience all round, the ads alone made me regret it. Would not recommend.

Delivery to central Queensland probably costs the good guys $500 alone

  • i just purchased from JB HiFi, with price match to powerland, $898 for 75"

  • hm JB not listing the 98" C855 anymore, maybe waiting for stock.
