Hey all. GearLab and many other sites call these THE BEST hiking shoes going around. These are great for day hiking and overnight hiking with a lighter pack. This is the Breeze model so the Goretex lining is replaced with breathable mesh and this is the model to get if you live in a hot part of Australia. They have good grip so are okay for moderating scrambing but I wouldn't use these if approach shoes are recommended. Many sizes available.

They fit TTS but are on the slightly larger side as they account for hiking socks plus foot expansion. If you are thinking of using these for casual wear then I'd go down half a size.

    Great price for this shoe. I bought black version about 3 months ago. Zero complaints. Very tempted to pick up this colour at that price.

      The only difference with the 2s is they use more environmentally friendly components (no practical change.) The Freedom model is more casual/commuter based.

        Would the breeze be better for hiking and freedom for day to day use then?

        Asking because freedom is currently $149 on mydeal and they have $10 off code running in conjunction with 22% cashback through topcashback. This looks as much as a steal if not more!

          Most likely. Haven't looked too much into the Freedoms as I only care about hiking.

          I went with the Anacapa 2 Freedom from MyDeal, as to me they seem marginally better having the new slip in feature alongside the adjustability of laces: https://www.gearpatrol.com/outdoors/hoka-anacapa-2-freedom/

          But otherwise both should be equally good for hiking/walking.
