"When you look closely at the certificates of title you will see the words, “This is a novel gift” towards the bottom left of them. This term is defined in the American Heritage Dictionary as “the quality of being novel”, “something new and unusual” and “a small mass produced article”. At the advice of Dr. Hope’s legal representative, it was suggested to use the phrase “novelty gift” simply to avoid frivolous lawsuits and does not undermine the validity of the land claim"

    Uh wot

does not undermine the validity of the land claim

Don't worry, Israel will find a way.

Edit: calm down people, it's a joke

        Lol

I was going to point to USA. Plenty of projection power…..

  • Just make sure it's Lunar Nullius.

Neg: This is a scam, and 50% off a scam is still a scam and not a bargain.

  • I am going to declare I own the sun, so a) you can pay me to own a part of it and b) I want royalties from all of the solar energy you are now harvesting that is legally mine. I've sent a letter to the UN so it's official. Come on, this has got to be classed as a scam. It's (falsely) claiming legal ownership of the land on the Moon and Mars. IMO a terrible waste of money and the fact they are claiming it is 'Legal ownership' is dishonest and misinformation at the least. I know it's a novelty, but the 'About Us' section is trying really hard to scam you into thinking it could be right on a technicality.

Oh and its all very disrespectful for any peoples or cultures (past present or future) that may or may not be already on the Moon or Mars, terra nullius never went wrong in the past did it?

This is a glorified certificate similar to those virtual land sales companies, that became popular with NFT's. It's a "novel gift" just like there websites state. The Outer Space Treaty 1967 states no one can own land in space. The "Lunar Embassy" has no real authority to sell the land, but it's not like this claim can be tested or verified in our lifetimes. So they are profiting off this.

If anyone buys this I’ve got a great deal on an Eiffel Tower for you.

Would be so funny if you then receive a land tax bill from our awesome Govt.

Or better yet, a tax for leaving land unoccupied

Make sure to check that your block doesn't flood before you buy. Otherwise, you might not be able to build on it.

  • +1

Buyer beware. Never purchased sight unseen. Always visit the block to check it's in a good area. Seller should be able to facilitate your visit. If not, what is the seller trying to hide?

  • Can you please arrange an inspection? Weekends should be fine!

I was curious on what the price was. Last night when I checked, both were $10NZ, originally $20NZ. Now they've increased it 5 times the original price. Even more of a scummier practice than trying to sell something that doesn't exist.

  • Ebay called. They'd like to sell $200 plots.
