      people just mad I'm right, we all know people wanting to buy these cards are just hoarding them to resell and that's it.

      People that do that are the reason this shit is where it is. Stores want to sell product, if people weren't so stupid and 1) buying ridiculous amounts of product, 2) harassing stores to see if they have the product and when they are getting it 3) paying above retail prices for this product because they still believe they can re-sell it for more, then the price would actually be reasonable.

      But no, don't take accountability for what you people created will you.

        Infinitely more slimy for companies to price gauge. They get sent tons of the stock via suppliers etc at a much lower price, then they choose to rip off their customers by increasing the price like crazy or hoarding it to flip in a few years.

        Can't blame the normal consumer for buying up whatever they can when they see it at retail

          @Pootossmonke24: These stores are not getting the kind of stock you think they area, I spoke with a EB games manager yesterday they literally get calls all day long about these cards and they barely ever get stock, the only stock they've had lately was the 151 2 booster tins (I bought one, because i'm not greedy and its not an investment)

          Customers are absolutely insane.

            @Purp: I think theres a big difference between imvesting/collecting and scalping.

            Scalping implies using the insufficient supply to drive profit. They have effectively created a supply shortage by bying up all stock as soon as it is available.

            Let's bring in purchase limits! It makes it far less fun for a scalper to travel 50km to pick up one booster bundle or mini tin.

            Investors/collectors are not buying all the product and putting it/half straight on marketplace to ensure net spend is 0.

            Just because someome can drive to every EB/Kmart/Toymate in Aus, we all miss out.

            I see the same numpty in WA selling cases of Tins and BB that they got from retail stores and listed at 2-2.5x rrp.

            Adding profiteering middle men to collecting is one way to destroy a franchise.

              @everyone: would be nice, I have no issue with that I would definitely buy them if we got a good price I open the packs I buy anyway.

              But at this stage, "investors" are just scalpers trying to feel better about themselves. Their intention is buying product to resell for profit, nothing else.

    Save your money for a better set anyway TM, SS, 151. Although at $165 it is a decent deal.

    But tbh EB is/was selling them (PR) at $5per pack ($180 a booster box). So you can grab one anytime.
