iStat Menus 7 is a full reboot, sporting an all-new design with hundreds of big and small improvements. iStat Menus is unmatched in efficiency, and is the most CPU-friendly system monitoring app.

New menu bar modes, including stacked labels and values. New menu bar items, like Wi-Fi name, and GPU frames per second. Frequency monitoring and additional sensors on Apple Silicon Macs. More theme options and menu background colors. Fan speeds can now ramp up gradually with complete control over the speed curve.

The time menu has 7-day and 14-day rolling calendar modes. Combined mode has been drastically overhauled, and can now display any item in the menu bar, with unique settings, and has more available menu sections in the dropdown menu.     It's a nice to have tool

    it does pack some features that can be good if you don't have a menubar calendar for eg, there are quite a few features packed in and for $9 it's pretty good value but it's certainly not gonna change anyone's life

  I use the weather feature on my menubar and love it. It is an additional add on subscription per year but it’s only like a couple of bucks a year. I understand that this feature is coming soon natively though on mac but i like the info i am getting from it.

    I get the weather without an additional sub, where's your data coming from?

      oh i am still on 6.7. I purchase the 60min freq on detailed weather every year for 2 USD. My source is willy weather (BOM)

      Is it totally free on v7 now?

        I'm just using the default source so they may have a sub for BOM or whatever but default source is free, yeh

            @ozchobie: Ok looks like there’s a 180 day sub included with purchse with option to buy an increased refresh rate (Willy Weather’s selectable without payment for me)

            I hate subs of any kind so this leaves a bit of a bad taste for me tbh though there’s an option for Apple weather which presumably’s free

              @0jay: Cheers. I went ahead and upgraded to family license. It seems like it transferred over my remaining days on V6 weather sub to V7. Yeah at least there's that free option. I don't mind getting bom for 2 bucks a year :3

  Family License is cheaper than my I upgrade to v6, so it's no brainer to go for that one, plus supporting an Aussie developer FTW.
