30% off Storewide e.g. Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men $56 (was $80) + 20% SB Cashback (Expired) @ Kiehl's

130

This is my go to skincare brand as I've tried a variety of products from Paula's Choice, Neutrogena, Cerave and Clinique for skin care.

Those brands have been good, but not as great as this for Asian combination skin like mine (which I don't regularly look after + having Seborrheic dermatitis).

I was originally sceptical of this brand because of the retail workers wearing white scientist outfits with their marketing gimmick pitches in the shop…

But after I was recommended and given this as a gift, it has made an amazing difference whilst combining with the Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant a new deal here

  1. Buy from their Black Friday sale which is 30% off storewide until 2 December.
  2. Combine and use Shopback's 20% cashback offer to get insane value OR
  3. Referral benefits also available. Referral solicitation removed — Mod

Combine this with Shopback's 20% cashback offer to get insane value.

I thought this product was cheaper in China as my facial fuel got confiscated at customs, but after recently visiting China it's actually more expensive there.

I was waiting for a good deal to come around and here it is.

My recommendations (Cost prior to 20% cashback)
Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men $56 (was $80)
Fresh Start Men's Essentials Gift Set $76.30 (was $109)
Limited Edition Advent Calendar $135.80 (was $194)
Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane $48.30

Use the promo code FREE KIT to get a free 5-Piece Iconic Skin Care gift offering $130 value when spending $180+
Note: May void Shopback's 20% cashback offer

If any dermatologists or pharmacists have any better recommends, please let us know. I know some of you frequent Ozbargain.

  • So what’s your routine to treat Seborrheic dermatitis?

    • I'm also keen to know as well. Recommend also checking out Bryan Johnsons skincare routine - very insightful. Hyaluronic acid could help, Topical Ivermectin, and vitamin B12. Studies available on the internet for all.

My dermatitis was never an issue before covid and only was aggravated during/after covid and it's been pretty bad.

So my suspicions are likely covid/covid vaccine triggered and aggravated it to become worse (some studies suggest this) or could be age.

I don't follow a set routine as I change it up based on how bad it gets, but this has worked wonders for me based on what I have and based on personal experience after trying many stuff like prescribed steroid creams.

I know some of the ingredients below could aggravate the dermatitis so haven't cross checked them with a pharmacist / doctor (except for the dermatitis treatment step).

      1. Facial cleanse / wash - Derma E Daily Cleanser (always use this as I have a few years supply of these nearly free from a Ozbargain deal) followed by quick use and rinse of Kiehl's Facial Fuel Face Wash.

Optional: I also use Chanel La Mouuse Cream Foam (this works 2nd best behind Kiehl's facial fuel wash but is expensive) / QV Excema Daily Wash / CeraVe Foaming Cleanser /CeraVe Smoothing Cleanser as backups (in order of efficacy based on personal experience).

      1. Dermatitis treatment - Selsun Gold and Sebitar (one or both of them up to twice but usually once daily if it's bad or every 2 days to 7 days depending on well it's managed). I thoroughly apply and leave on face for 3-5 mins before rinsing off. I focus on Sebitar mainly if it's inflamed and red to reduce redness and flaking symptoms and Selsun Gold to get rid of it temporarily and reduce usage once symptoms go away.

Neutrogena T/Gel would be my daily go-to to keep things under control without using above. I use every 1-4 days and continue this if it's managed well (no signs) or until need use Selsun Gold or Sebitar.

      1. Quick facial cleanse again - I use Kiehl's Facial Fuel wash again for quick wash and rinse.

      2. Dry off and use Paula's choice BHA to exfoliate every one to three days (wait 15-30 mins for pH to return to normal before next step).

      3. Moisturize - Apply Kiehl's moisturizer (this made a huge difference in skin health compared to other moisturizers and I noticed it would not only delay onset of symptoms by a week or two compared to a few days if I left out above steps but improve my skin health, smoothness and appearance significantly).

I also like to apply the moisturiser after any quick morning or night face washes or often just to keep skin healthy. Quick face washes just by lukewarm water itself delays for onset of dermatitis symptoms by itself by a small margin.

Apart from routine the biggest factor aggravating my dermatitis is sugar. I cut down almost all sugars (including artificial except in no sugar Sodastream syrups) and reduced my diet away from carbohydrates like bread, rice and pasta.

I use above routines to manage outbreaks that always come after I indulge or go for any sneaky sugar or carbohydrates meals.

  • I use kiehls as well

Facial fuel moisturiser and facial fuel face wash.

The larger face wash size seems to have disappeared though.

    • Gets sold out quick, was sold out but they restocked but could be out of stock again. These are my favorite 2 to use out of Kiehl's range.
