[Google Nest WiFi Pro – Fastest Wi-Fi Yet! - Found on JB Hi-Fi Business]

While searching for an alternative to the Eero 6 Plus, I came across this deal on JB Hi-Fi Business: Google Nest WiFi Pro – a powerful Wi-Fi 6E router with smart features and incredible performance.
I'm not sure if it's better than the Eero 6 Plus, but it's $130 cheaper, so it might be worth considering!

  • Future-Ready Wi-Fi: Built with the latest Wi-Fi 6E technology but not backward-compatible with earlier Google/Nest Wi-Fi models. 😂

  • These will be handed out like f’ing energy drinks soon.

    • How come?

      • The price just keeps dropping and Google appears to be flogging them off. Concerning because I love mine.

        • Is there anything wrong with them? How come they're going for so cheap?

          • @nightelves: There are rumours about them being discontinued however no official word yet. Many people experience problems with them so I suspect Google are overstocked (hence the frequent price drops). Mine have been rock solid since day one.

            • @Maths Debater: Thinking of getting these as well as it seems like a solid product. Was looking at the Deco M5 but I imagine this would be just as good.

              • +1

@nightelves: Honestly, I rate them. Getting mad speeds all over my 4 bedroom single storey house and setup was a breeze. I particularly love the pill shape and how the reset button is discretely hidden under the rubber base (I’m a sucker for design). Customisation isn’t great but that doesn’t concern me. No complaints from my end. They just work.

  • Do you know if JB Hifi beats JB Hifi commercial?

    • No, but it’s worth asking. I once got a soundbar at TGG for GGC pricing. It just depends how desperately they’re willing to get rid of stock.

  • Coming up as $349 for me? am i missing something?

    • +1

From what I have read, even GGC customers see different prices so perhaps this price doesn’t apply to every JB Business member.

      • aww… man :'( so everyone else is seeing it for $250?

        • I’ll login to mine and let you know. One sec.

        • +2

Coming up $259 for me. I have access through Origin Energy if that helps.

  • $349 for me too through Westpac :(

I have the previous gen of this, and I have a theory of what’s wrong with this product / for why it’s not selling very well. I think a lot of people would have been considering upgrading their existing Google Nest Wifi to the newer model. The issue here is that the points on the previous gen were also half decent speakers, and also integrated with Google. The newer gen (this deal, which is fantastic) are not speakers. We’ve all become accustomed to the Google integration, and using the speakers randomly as we feel the need to play some music in a particular area. So when they’ve made the newer gen a bit less “integrated” (maybe I’m using that word incorrectly - sorry), and we’d “lose” speakers as part of an upgrade, it’s a lot less attractive to a number of potential customers who are already using the older products. I have 1000/40 at home, and only get ~250 down on the points. If I restart the entire network, it’ll hang around the ~500 down mark, and then drop down again. I’d love to get better speeds all over (acknowledging speed limitations), but not at the cost of losing the speakers. Anyhoo, that’s why I think Google have missed the mark here :)

  • It was showing up as $259 for me on Saturday and I waited for Monday - Now its $349 :-( - Didn't know they would update prices before Cyber Monday lol

    • Cyber Monday has been a dud this year. Most shops seemed to have depleted stock anyway. Was in the market for a new Mesh, because my Asus XD6 needs a reboot every 5 days or else devices on WiFi start not getting data (despite a strong connection). It's been hard to get a good price, let alone stock, on Cyber Monday. But from what I read, the Google Mesh isn't the most stable, and I wanted to avoid a repeat of what I had. I have enough unstable/experimental Google devices at home not to ask for more. Went with TP Link EX75 (the one with 2.5Gbps port), as people say it's stable.
