Hi guys,

Currently looking for a new mattress and came across this deal.
Did a bit of research and found that there has been a similar post 2 months ago, since a lot of negatives on the last post. They have branded the mattress to Reelax.

Old post - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81116

Anyways so those who have purchased from the last deal was wondering if you can give some feedback.

My alternative to this will be the ergoflex which is $300 more.

Thanks

  • Anyone tried their mattresses before? Looks kinda dodgy.

      thats because it is.

I'd say this mattress is only worth $500-600 max.

Personally I'm planning to get a mattress from ergoflex. Only thing stopping me is wondering if Brisbane is too hot for one.

      • That really depends how far you sink into it. As wont matter what state as heat wise, as it's stopping air flow around your body

      • We got a kingsize ergoflex about 6 months ago during one of the many sales. This is the first summer and so far no problems. I'm in Perth and my only concern when buying it was how it would handle on a hot night and so far its better than my old inner spring which had a pillow top. Its well worth the money and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Worst case take the 250$ hit and return it if you don't like it.

  • this seems to be a good deal http://www.tommyswiss.com.au/tommy-swiss-queen-mattress-202q… plus this http://www.tommyswiss.com.au/queen-size-pu-leather-bed-frame… but then again I don't know much about beds

    • I'm quite cheap at times, but this is something where I wouldn't skimp, you spend a quarter of your life on a mattress, so it may be worth paying a little more for a good one.
I don't like internal spring mattresses, I got myself a very nice latex mattress and it's awesome.

  • make sure you try a memory foam mattress for a while in a store first…
Due to their cheap price online I thought of getting one but after the reviews of being 'hot' and not really liking it after trying in store I ruled it out (and ended up getting a mattress from ozmattress online instead)

  • Just be aware that it'll take you 2 months or more to receive this. My mum purchased one from the last deal and only just got it last week.

Good price if you're willing to wait for delivery.

  • anyone buy before? This is not the first time for discount voucher company.

  • This was sold on Groupon a back in September (https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/special/Homewarez/716360035) for the same price, description and brand name. The wait for the product back then was 3 months without a word from anyone, until Groupon sent an email a little over a week ago saying that shipping was delayed and the new date is 27 Dec, also at the same time offering a full refund if you did not wish to wait

The RRP is an insult to ones intelligence- clearly aimed at the moron market.

    • clearly aimed at the moron market.

    lul

  • Anybody use a memory foam mattress? What kind of base do you use?

I tried it on a base with posture slats and that was terrible. Now I just put it directly on floor. Was going to get a solid, raised base but can't be bothered.

I lift it up during the day, leaning against wall, so it can air. It's only a double so it's not much hassle
