Glad it's not just me. I really wanted to get into the story but the gameplay was tedious.
I will finish this masterpiece one day!
Worth every penny for the alive world.Winds howling
Insanely good deal for an amazing game. That one day I’ll eventually finish lol.
The absolute best thing you can do before playing this game is read the books. I'm sure they would be on sale currently for Black Friday. Oh, and playing the previous 2 games obviously. Though 1 hasn't aged well, but 2 still holds up and is much closer to 3 gameplay wise.
I just looked it up — 8 novels, 15 short stories in addition to 2 prequel games is quite a lot to commit to before actually playing this game lol
Oh it absolutely is lol. And I'm not saying you need to do that. Plenty of people have said they just jumped straight into W3 and enjoyed it, I'm just saying it's the best way to experience it:) Also the books are just great anyway!
I lived in this game during lockdowns
Thank you, bought!
I have started and stopped Witcher 3 twice, and that is enough for me. The second time I picked up all the 'suggested' mods, including horse everywhere, horse not a donkey, horse better pathing etc. and it still infuriated me. I enjoyed the story, but not the game play. "Oh, I see a ghoul on that hill - better oil up the correct sword before riding up there! Don't forget to snap, crackle and pop the correct FusRoDah or you'll regret it. Then parry parry parry, roll roll roll, hit. Repeat ad nauseum." Loot: lowest tier of crafting mat.
