Bing Lee have it for $975 on there website and ebay. If you have ebay plus you can get a further $70 off bringing it down to $905

    • Interesting.. I don't see it on Bing Lee's ebay store at all

It may not ship to your area, that's why you won't be able to see it.

        • Yeah i thought that, but it didn't even work in incognito mode. Anyway, yeah that's a good deal. I'll add it to the list

      • +1

Wonder if you could also visit 99 bikes and show them the $975 and get there 5% best price guarantee if you have a store close to you

I have this scooter, it's fantastic, easy to unlock to 35kph.
It looks like all the other Ninebots so it doesn't look too tempting to be stolen, which for me is a feature.
The suspension on it is fantastic, makes it a pleasure to ride on long journeys.

    • What's the best method to unlock to 35kph? i've done a bit of googling but some are saying you can brick it…

      • Bricking is always a risk when you're installing custom firmware on to very single-purpose hardware. I use ScooterHacking firmware (SHFW) - support is basically "read the f****n manual" so not for everyone

      • Electric Kicks sells a $99 speed unlock cable, but i'm not sure if it's compatible with only the units that they sell, or with a G2 from any store. Also not sure if it only works with certain firmwares, or if it's a permanent fix. Might ask the question.

        • Apparently the speed unlock cable is an official Segway accessory and will work with any firmware version.

        • +1

Nah I wouldnt be wasting money on a ripoff $99 cable. Just follow this. Took me a couple minutes and it was unlocked. Just use byte array instead of text and it worked first try for me.

i unlocked mine by using a vpn on my phone and changing location to the states. it then allows me to customise the speed over 25kmhr.

  • How easy it is to self-maintain? e.g. replacing punctured tyres (especially for the rear wheel that has the motor)

    • +1

These tyres are insanely durable, I commute daily and haven't had a single puncture yet. One of the few that is truly self-repairing.

When it is time to change them, from everthing I've seen online it's an absolute nightmare to get them off the hub and reinstalled neatly. Doable but worth paying a local store to do for you

    • I've had 4 scooters and yet to have a puncture, so I can't say. I had a Segway P100 once and had to take it to Scooter Hut
for a service as there was lots of squeaking in the brakes. But in general these scooters need virtually no maintenance.
Just make sure you get your free service before your one year warranty expires. This is the issue about buying a scooter from Bing Lee,
I don't think he or any of his staff can repair your scooter, better to pay a bit more and buy it from a proper scooter store that can repair your scooter.

  • Are these allowed in NSW, Sydney?

    • +1

      Yes, they are.

Just not on public roads or public property, eg, parks.

      • God that sucks, hopefully they change the Laws soon would love one of these to go the shops and back

  • Interestingly iScoot and Electric Kicks have theirs listed as a "2025" or "2024/25" model, but I'm really struggling to find any information about a recent revision or any differences between these, or if these are any different from the models sold by 99 Bikes (who list a Season: 2023 in the Specifications) and JB Hi-Fi.

Both 99 Bikes and JB have a UPC/PLU of 8720254406572, which seems to match Electric Kicks' Ebay Listing, but odd that I can't see any news from Segway or chatter on Reddit etc. about a recent revision to this scooter.

    • Heard back from one of the contact requests and seems like these should all be the same (newer) model.

      Key differences in the revision:
      Motor Power
      - 2025: 450W (1000W peak)
      - 2023: 350-400W

      Safety Features
      - 2025: Integrated turn signals, traction control system
      - 2023: Basic lighting and bell only

      Range
      - 2025: Up to 70 km
      - 2023: Up to 60 km

    • Further to this, iScoot claims: The key difference is that with the 2025 model, you can use a cable to unlock the speed, increasing it from 25 km/h to approximately 32 km/h—something previous versions did not offer.
