Thanks - grabbed 4 for fans and air purifier… hayfever has been insane this year

    I would not buy these

    Issues:
    - app does not cache credentials during update (need to log back in each time app updates)
    - if you dont use the app for a few months, even after login your devices are gone and you need to re-add them to wifi
    - have had 2 of them randomly power cycle causing device resets (devices were maybe using 200W of load)

    • app does not cache credentials during update (need to log back in each time app updates)

This is actually a security feature actually, I believe after 14 days of inactivity the app will log out

When you say randomly cycled did they show in the logs of the app?

Also these are quite wide, so won’t fit side by side in double power outlet

    • Yes I returned them after testing them at home. The second outlet becomes useless , once you put on these plugs . I prefer tapo (tp-link) in that sense !

  • Anyone utilised the Energy Monitoring in Home Assistant?
I was looking for something this morning, the Fridge was stuck in defrost mode. Thought I would be able to see this information via energy monitoring to keep an eye on it.

    • The merossLAN integration supports Energy Monitoring so you definitely can setup triggers of thresholds in HA if you want to

      • Thanks, I found merossLAN GitHub, it looked good.
I did see some people mention that this plug is quite big, and will probably make it so I cant plug in anything next to it.

  • Anyone checked the idle power usage of these, often times these types of devices will use more power than they'll save.

    Edit for clarity.

  • when will next gen be available where the plugs are smaller?
