    Ripping price

    So ripping it's free 😄

  • Goodguys does offer Free local delivery as well.
Free delivery limited time offer seems to be available at most retailers (for large TV >75")

    • Came up as $59 delivery for me on the landing page - but looks like it drops it to $0 when going through to checkout….

I've seen this TV and it looks ok, seemed a bit washed out color, but hard to tell with what JB displays as demo.

The matte finish is awesome and I don't know why it's rare to find elsewhere.

Can anyone confirm if this is lacking compared to the Bravia 8 or the TCL c855 models?

Would love if it was as good specs as them without much compromise

    • Very mediocre colour volume and peak brightness. The Bravia 8 and C855 are far superior than this. Source:

        Thanks I appreciate it!

Leaning towards TCL 75c855, since it's half price of Bravia 8 65"

        Yes. and many mentioned before….
This TV is for the look of an arts/picture frame, Matt finish and picture/arts display. (also some TV and movies)
If you are after a good quality TV/ movies, little picky for Brightness/colors this is not the TV to get.

        • My brother in law has one, they rarely watch TV so it's perfect to have in a room that doesn't look like your standard living room (more aimed at a party/gathering space).

For me, the TV has couches arranged around it and I am an avid movie watcher, so it'd be a poor choice.

The Frame is objectively not a good TV. All measurements are pretty average.

But that's not why you buy it. You buy it for how good it looks OFF.

The Art mode legitimately looks like artwork, I've been to AirBnBs where they've snazzied up the TV with a custom frame and I didn't even realise it was a TV until the artwork was different the next morning.

If you wanted to put a big piece of 'artwork' over - say - a buffet in the kitchen/meals, or maybe above a fireplace in a formal lounge (inb4 /r/tvtoohigh), where it will predominantly be OFF and you turn it on occasionally, the Frame is brilliant for that use case.

But if you actually want to watch movies… just get an OLED.

        This.

Is our exact use case, works great as an electronic picture frame that doubles as a tv for the news or when kiddo wants to watch some tv at mealtimes

With the super close wall mount and the single thin cable it's stealthy and the Matt display helps with glare

I love this response. It's so far from my reality to spend $2k with a use-case for technology that prioritises when it is OFF! :)

      • I'm considering the frame both for it's stealthy quality, and also for the breakout box. I want to mount a tv on the wall, and I need hdmi cables for PS5, Shield and audio output (not even bothering with FTA aerial). Can the installation guy fit all these chunky 8k cables out through the back of the wall and down to a floor outlet?

i have this tv, but because i have a living room that has so much sun even with the blinds down that in summer we have to wait until close to sunset before we can watch anything that has dark scenes comfortably 😅

dont get this tv if you dont have reflection issues:

      • no local dimmings
      • crappy tizen OS
      • only one port can do 4K 120hz

I'm happy with the TV and it looks great in our living room with the magnetic frame snap ons if reflection is not an issue, get C855. I managed to try the C855 at a store and wow the Android TV menu is so quick compared to Chromecast and also has less ads!

    • Buy this only if you want the art mode, don't buy this if you want the best tv for the money.

Aside from what others have said, viewing angles on these tv's are AWFUL (i guess excessive backlighting would make the art mode look awful). I'm talking less than 45 degrees and you see a noticeable drop in visibility.

  • Any cashback or discounted gift card for JB ?

  • I payed $2300 in April, I love the tv. Coming from a Hisense 65Q8

    • should have wayted

    • @Gil Gunderson do you love the TV image or is it more the picture frame feature?
Thinking of getting one but a lot of comments aren't too favourable re the image quality for general TV viewing.

  • Does it come with the Music Frame as promo ?

Way cheaper on Samsung EDU if you have access btw

    • Price?

    • Showing 2392

      • -1

Probably on the standard Samsung page not EDU

        • +3

          Nope… on edu store:
          65" - 1793.60
          75" - 2272.40

  • Ah, been waiting for the 65" to go on sale again. 75" is too big. The Matt Screen would be great in our lounge which gets too much sun.

    • one doesn't buy from harvey norman if it's same price

      • In case someone has HVN gift cards.
But yeah, I wouldn't buy from Gerry.
