Never received the Sim cards from previous profit deal, support has been no help, would avoid imo

    • How long have you waited for the sim?
Also can someone else confirm if they have same issue or not?

      • 5/11 Ordered, followed up on 20/11 and no response

        • Any idea what the time frame for sim activation to be eligible for cashback?

          • @bluespider: it says 60 days for eSim on the T&Cs of the previous offer

          • @bluespider: 60 days on the one I grabbed fro previous deal. SIM did take a few weeks to arrive.

      • I ordered eSIM 2 times and was delivered over email. First time or was very quick, second time took a few hours.

      • Likely outlier, I received mine x2 UN-track post: ordered 5Nov & ~10d delivery to metro area, OzBargainers would be screaming black & blue, lol, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/lycamobile.com.au

Avoid their painful but do-able porting your mobile#: try consider kureshi comments below.
@USER DC: pls consider sharing your porting-process: I can't find your past comments. Thanks

Profit deals: buyers who plan to exploit: BEWARE. They DO check NEW-customers.

    • Experience the same, havent received til now is been what over 2 weeks now, i know their CS is shyt so cant even be bothered

    • +1. I ordered my SIMs on 30/10, haven't received them until now (Perth metro).

Tech support promised I will get a refund.

  • ordered… let's see how long till/if it tracks…

    • Tracked today at 11:55 AM. Groovy.

So took about 10-11 hours in total.

      • purchased 1.55pm, tracked in about 5 mins. they are catching up now.

  • Is now the time to try my luck / subject myself to the rack?

    Max 2 services per person

        Me

Registered 2 (after ID check) tried 3rd and it fails

        • I see, so basically can purchase multiple times but can only activate 2.

          • +3

@ronnknee: Yep, though their T&C says you can have 5 active.

So I think they just stupid people imo

    • Did you use the same email address (and other details) to order your subsequent SIMs? I bought a Lyca SIM a month ago, wondering if I'm still classified as a "new customer" if I use the same email.

      • No need for you to reply now - the deal has expired. Thank you.

  • I had a problem with porting in my number. Somehow only the mobile number from Lyca was activated. No notification of acknowledging the cashback from ShopBack yet.

  • https://www.shopback.com.au/lyca-mobile doesn't seem to work in browser for me, displays message:

    We’ve looked everywhere
But we can’t find the page you’re looking for. Let’s get you back home safely.

    Return to Home

    Tried firefox and chrome.

    • Works for me in Chrome.

Ok..first thing first..Lyca ain't got an easy method to port ya number in…but from my own experience 2 days ago..unlike other networks…
    1) we have to register/ activate the lyca sim first (as a new number)..and once that is done (pretty easy..gets done in under 3 mins) ..
2)the best way to go is to call the lyca helpline from the same number and ask them for your old number to be ported ..call will be max 5 mins ..with same basic questions and confirmation of OTP sms codes(both to the old number and the new one)…and your old number will be ported within 10-20 mins

Just for the smart people like me who tries to do the porting online on the web or on the lyca app..please don't..as you will either not get the porting OTP code sms at all or in case if you get it..the porting still won't happen as mine didn't for the whole day..so the next day i called the CS for porting and they did it over the phone within minutes

    • Thought it was me but it was actually them!

  • After porting in to lyca, I stopped receiving sms from boost mobile/Telstra network.. now can not receive important otps from bank and can not switch to boost as port out sms is not coming.. lyca support is pathetic..

    • Same thing happened to me but with Vodafone. Couldn't port in using online process. When finally speaking to Lyca, they said speak to Vodafone. Ended up bascially about 2-3 days without being able to send/receive calls/texts and it was the last day of my prepaid plan. Vodafone were nice about it. Got an extension on plan while they sorted it out. I'll probably just buy these for he profit.

  • Have they got an easy way to turn off auto renew? What's the process?

    • +2

yes very easy - just toggle the auto renew button off

  • looking at the terms to see when it needs to be activated by but can't find it.

  • Having trouble finding the 30GB 28-Day $12.50 plan. Is it a different promo now?

    • You have to click out via SB.

      • That reply in 17 seconds 😂

        Okay got it! Thanks!

  • Ordered 7 hours ago and still haven’t track. Will keep an eye
    Edit: just tracked

  • Anyone knows if I may order this using Vanilla Gift card for payment?

  • when must I activate the sim to get the cashback? I cannot find the activation requirement in the shopback webpage

    • In the last Lyca deal, TCB posted that "SIM must be activated within 60 days of purchase for cashback to be eligible.". Fair to assume that this will apply to Shopback too. No guarantee by me though.

  • Purchased and tracked. Number didn't port across as requested and they gave me a new number. Had to spend 30mins on the phone with support to sort it out

  • Thanks OP! SB tracked my eSIM order.

  • Purchased earlier this evening, took 3hrs to track. Don't think I'll bother risking porting, just use it for some data alongside the profit.
