Don’t think you can use gift card if you’re redeeming eVoucher as you’ve already paid to Uber. Perhaps you can only redeem it for the online booking fee
Payment seems to be via Hoyts, haven't purchased yet but it does show a Hoyts gift card option in checkout.
They work with the Uber One $12.50 ticket deal. I used it to pay for that last night. Not sure about through the app but it worked over the counter. Expiry date is 3 years from purchase.

Discovered the best way to stack discounts:
1) Buy a TCN Cinema card from ShopBack for 8% cash back
2) Add TCN Cinema card to the TCN app, which gives you a digital version of the card
3) Add TCN Cinema card to Paypal wallet
4) Buy the Hoyts gift card at 20% off, then pay with the TCN Cinema card via Paypal.BONUS: Split payment works, meaning you can e.g. buy 1x $100 + 1x $30 Hoyts Gift cards ($80 + $24) and use 1x $100 TCN Cinema gift card to pay for the $80, and split $20 and $4 from another card.
Essentially get $130 for $92+$4 spend (26.15% discount or 35.4% extra value)wow! this is awesome! great to know!

How do you do the split payment?
Chose split in the top right corner when you checkout with paypal and you can choose 2 cards and the amounts for each (has to add up to the total amount).

Great stuff, worked a treat. Just a query, does PayPal continue to treat the digital card as a "cinema card" i.e. only able to be utilised for purchasing from a cinema 'store', or does it convert to a generic MasterCard gift card? Can't see a difference once it's been added to PayPal Wallet.
I think Paypal is just a middleman - it's the card issuer that checks if the purchase is valid or not. So if you're asking if you can use it to pay for other stuff, I think the answer would be no. Happy to be wrong though

Not fully comprehending the last bit, can you explain a bit more in depth please?Paypal now allows purchases to be split across two payment methods. Both TCN Cinema cards and Hoyts gift cards are fixed amounts ($50, $100 etc). Because of the 20% discount, the values don't match up and you end up having odd amounts left on the TCN Cinema card, which is annoying to track and spend. So by using the Paypal split payment and buying enough that the payment is just a bit above the TCN Cinema value, you can fully use up a TCN Cinema card and still maximise your discount.
The example I showed was the most efficient way to use up a $100 TCN Cinema card by splitting a payment totalling $104 onto $100 TCN Cinema card and $4 onto another card.
It's down to 15% now?
