    Regarding the orange agent

Could get 20 litres of Autoamrt G101 for around $70 and it will last you the rest of your life lol

I am a detailer and put less than 1cm in a 1L spray bottle, can clean all interior, leather seats etc

    They do sell smaller bottles

$20 for less than a litre for a product that is mostly water is crazy

Bowden products are a joke. I got caught up in the hype when they first started and bought loads but now realise what a rip off they are and there is no need for so many different things.

      • Yeah I was taking a look. They have something for everything just about lol. There snow foam is top notch though.

      • +2

You don't need to buy every item they produce, there is some overlap in products. Most people will be fine with Snow Job, Wash Wax, Happy Ending and a few peripherals.

        Also worth noting:

Our company has a strong belief in the quality of Australian manufacturing. We proudly use local chemists, research laboratories, chemical and fragrance suppliers, factories, fillers, packers, bottle and cap makers, printers, box makers, labelers, designers, even this website hosting service, to keep the money here, reinvesting in our country. It's all very different to all our imported competition.

In a time when so much is made overseas and Australian manufacturing is struggling, it’s good to know they support local industries. Yes, it might cost a little more, but that reflects the effort and care of being Australian made. It’s not about overcharging, it’s about valuing quality and keeping jobs here.

With that said, if you have found something better and cheaper, and you don't care where it is made, call it out.

    • Autosmart G101 2022 price list (price may be slightly higher)

      5L $24.50
      20L $74.50

I use about 50ml max in 1L bottle so for $24.50 you can make 100 litres

      Edit

      20L of autosmart red7 is $220
20L of bowdens wheely clean $459

    • is that chemical weapon ?

    • where are you getting 20L for $70?
They sell 4L for $60 and its diluted??

      • Sorry i should have noted that, dont buy from autosmart retail, different sector

Have to contact your local autosmart rep

        Put postcode in here
        https://www.autosmartaustralia.com.au/contact

Edit- here a price catalogue to prove it, its from 2022 but i think prices are the same or very close

        • Can you please recommend what products best to buy from them? Seems like there are tons of choices and a bit confusing.

I'm mainly looking at wheel cleaning and the tyre shine products.

          • +3

            @BuyNowThinkLater: Sure thing

For tyre cleaning (tyre not rim) I use truck steam diluted 1:1 with water, spray tyre, 1 at a time, i also spray the plastic guard liner, brush with a soft bristle brush

For interior cleaning I use G101 diluted 50ml to 950ml water

For rim cleaning i use red7 neat as in i dont mix it with water, spray on, works like wheely clean

For tyre shine, i dont use autosmart, i use carpro perl diluted 1:1 with water

G101 am interior dilution also works very well to remove bugs, i usually spray bonnet, windscreen and front bumper, but only leave of for 30 seconds or so

Edit - trucksteam is the real deal, dont get it on polished aluminium

@BenTheBargainer2013: Ben, what do you recommend for paint decon please? As an iron remover?

Bo a three way is very expensive, coming in around $30 and it hurts.

              • @lordra: Red7 works fine for iron removal

G101 sprayed on each panel will strip it of bugs, tree sap, etc.

And I use Autosmart tardis to remove tyre and bitumen that gets up the sides of pwer car doors

All 3 in combination, be careful using tar remover around car badges

                • @BenTheBargainer2013: Autosmart G101 - is this equal to orange agent?

I'll get me some Red7, cheers!

Edit-where do I buy from at the best price? Just one car

    • They all do this, every cleaning product at Coles/Woolworths is 1% common cheap chemical 99% water for $10/L, you are paying for the "convenience."

  • I should note, things i do rate from bowdens, i mean everything is good but grossly overpriced and people dont realise it

Bead Machine - works for a very long time and beats durability on many different brands

Microfibre Wash - works very well for restoring microfibres, i usually soak with a capful and water in bucket for 24 hours then wash with a capful

Nanolicious Wash - Great wash but only if your car is protected with sealant or ceramic coating, if you car has no protection use CT18 truck wash then apply protection and use bowdens going foward

  • I like most of Bowdens Own products - their marketing is great and most of the Gen 2 or Gen 3 products are greatly improved over their first iterations

  • I do like the Wipe Out concentrate.

  • Still too expensive, imo.
I'd hold for more price drops.
