WTF? Canned dog food is $2 at the supermarket. You can get fresh real meat for less than this. Offal much less!
Thats the thing, convenience. Not that many people are interested in feeding nutritionally balanced raw, some dogs simply dont like it, and some dont want to feed the garbage sold at the supermarket (which it all is except the prime rolls). Some dogs even have intolerances especially smaller dogs. Our second dog falls into the latter category, reacts badly to having too much raw or any beef which has forced me to go back to hybrid feeding both.

No idea why i got negged. I was in no way advocating to buy this product. Just why i guess some so.
As to intolerances to certain proteins, I personally think its less breeding, and more nutrition and lifestyle over time/generations. When you get dogs eating supermarket junk every day for a few generations its hardly surprising they develop issues. But who knows. Same could be said about humans. How many people have intolerances to all sorts of crap at dramatically higher rates than 30 years ago, and we dont really know what has caused alot of this… other than we obviously have. We eat alot of crap, nutrition is a major part of health in all species, dog foods are largely unregulated and many filled with all sorts of crap to give the appearance of getting alot for less $. Is what it is. People make their choices. I try to feed my dogs some raw most days (roo, duck, lamb, chicken) and otherwise the best value freeze dried raw/simillar i can snag a bargain on.
