  • their polos are the worst - shrink so bad after 1 wash they become unwearable.

    • I had the same experience with a Lacoste polo

    • +2

Yea no different from "expensive" brabds, but with the same look, i love their colour varieties.

    • +3

I bought two polos and was told that they are pre washed and won’t shrink.

Also has 2 years warranty and will replace if shrunk.

Their merino knit top was even worse… yes I cold washed.

      • Did you put it in the dryer though? As you alluded to, it's the heat (and agitation) that causes shrinkage. Dryers are by far the usual suspects, as they literally use heat to dry the items.

        • Don't even own a dryer!

    • Any recommendations for decent business casual polos? I tried Country Road but the sleeves are too tight and short.

I wear my Rodd & Gunn polos every day and I've got around 20 of them. They look great, feel fantastic and fit really well. I've never had this shrinking issue on any of them and if it does happen, apparently (according to my mates) they've got a very easy returns policy.

        • Yes they are better than the Lacoste ones from Amazon. Multi-buy for 59 each is good too, Mau have to get some more.

Some people complaining must be washing in hot water or dryer and or should size up

      • I wear Rodd and Gunn polos at least 2-3 days a week when I’m on consult duties.

  • Thanks Op may go past today see if 30% off. Signed up but no email - not till tmrw so should be fine

My go to polos, very good, yearly multi-buy deals, last a long time and don't lose shape. great colour varieties.

Quality control bit loose, good to compare and try on in store. 2y warranty or something so can return if any issues.

The best sweatshirts I have ever worn is a Rodd and Gunn. Overpriced? yes, but some of their apparel is so worth it imo

Would this be 30% off their multi buy offers as well? I've been a member for years but didn't receive this email. I think it may be targeted?

    • also have the same question.

      • +1

        Ring em up!

    • I received from an email from the Store Manager I signed up.

      • Is this an in-store event or online as well? I tried calling the Customer Service line but there's no one there or they're busy.

        • In store just go DJ

30% off full price only not multi.

          • @G-rig: Just got a call back from R&D:

            • Sale goes live tonight at 6pm for online. Tomorrow in-store.
            • Multi-buys will be removed and the discount will be applied to RRP (still cheaper than multi-buy)
            • I didn't receive the email because I signed up online rather than in-store and emails went out via the in-store email. I've since been moved to my local store.
            • @gyrex: Good to know, so if logged in the 30% will apply?

I may get a few polos (the pants and chinos aren't for me and pretty straight/baggy/relaxed).

Spoke to someone too, cab put items aside or warehouse orders, online sounds easier.

              Cheers

  • Big news if stacks on multi deal

    • Yeh, bloody oath, hence my question above :)

  • Can't remember the exact name, but their thin/light denim 'jeans' have been my favourite pants for the last year or so. Super lightweight and have lasted well for me, great for whenever I need to wear long pants to work in the QLD heat.

    • +1

Good call, I think they are the 'straight fit jeans'. Closer fitting and quite thin.

The others are closer to jeans material are thinner than mine from 10y ago. They are more fitted too, all the Chinos and straights are pretty baggy no fit to them.

Country Road stretch skinny chinos are worth looking at too.

CR has 5.2% CB, may be worth it too.

  • Thanks OP, i will be getting some more Thomas Chinos.

The polos you should buy a size up and allow for the shrinking. I warm wash their sports polos and have even dumped into a condenser dryer and still good.

  • Sale has started - just spent a few $$$.
