  • $0.037/gb?

    • Apologies, was looking at the "was" price.

  • As it's from Seagate's official store I'm assuming it's also eligible for this promo?

      • It is (amazon.com.au at least). However Amazon isn't the one selling the drive, it's Seagate via Amazon as a 3rd party… not sure how that works.

        • Oh, yeah you are right - I didn't see amazon.com.au when I looked. Unfortunately, reading the T&C's didn't help me get any clarity on whether it would be eligible.

  • Is this same HD? If yes, seems cheaper with code,

  • For larger orders (5+ drives) Watch the import duties. Adds an extra $200 or more onto the order and quickly vaporises any savings. Center com has them for $278 at the moment in Australia direct

  • I was buying 8TB a decade ago. In 2024, shouldn't we have reached 50TB Hard Drives for $300 and 100TB Hard Drives for $600? With 500TB+ Hard drives as more premium models?

  • $188 for the Seagate Barracuda 8tb. Slightly slower but if you just want a data drive for a PC it's probably just as good.

$240 for a Seagate External 8tb (though it mentions a battery?)

I'm not sure if a hard drive would have a notable higher chance of being damaged through international shipping.
