Just my two cents but something to consider especially for price point. You could probably start with a 1080p or even 1440 if they’re on a good sale

He's 14 and plays Fortnite, FIFA that type of thing.
Currently it is set up on a really old 780p TV (15+ years old) that is not very clear and is laggy, so anything is likely to be an improvement. Mainly uses it for gaming, but does watch YouTube, Netflix on it occasionally.
He has asked for a monitor for Xmas and had complained about the lag etc so has some idea about it.
then this would be a big upgrade in comparison
