Reviews mentioned that it's not good for Android phones, any idea?

    • DJI Mimo requires Android 8.0 or higher. DJI discontinued support for their apps on the Google Play Store in early 2021, so you can no longer download DJI apps from there

      need to install via APK

additional some features on your phone may be disabled via app - YMMV

      • Thanks, do you recommend a gimbal stick to be compatible with Android?

        • sorry only beginner myself and still playing around with it

the main physical features of the gimbal still work
The main thing missing seems to be 60fps video within app
Forums seems to mention using alternative apps instead but missing Activetrack

I feel this one at this price point is worth it

      • What happen between DJI and Play Store?

        • +1

from my rather brief deep dive

this isn't an DJI issue as other gimbals (and camera apps in general)
          its an android issue

something to do with Apple being controlled environment so they spec it out for specific phone models
while with Android - there are too many models/manufacturers, operating specs etc etc.
so they just use the "standard" features which work the same on "most" android phones

          • @humdingaling: Fair. Pulled my trigger with the 20% cashback. If I don't spend, I will never get it to test out. Good enough reasons for me to buy tho.

Next, waiting for a deal on a DJI Neno and either an insta360 go or 360 camera to start my next road trip.

@bcYield: i had my eye on x4 or even the x3 also
Considering i haven't dipped my foot into post production work at all
the AI post production was really good selling point

However - the x3 is still going for almost 4-5 times the cost of this gimbal
For 100 odd bucks at least i can just pretend that I paid for a really expensive self stick

          • @humdingaling: There are a number of reasons why the DJI app isn't on the app store…but I think we can summarise it to laziness and not wanting to comply with security and privacy requirements. At the end of the day DJI customers are happy to side load whatever they give them, so why bother complying with Google's coding and security practices when you don't have to :) The official line from DJI will be "technical" reasons.

  • Japan import? Does it come with AU plug?

    • +1

only comes with USB A to C cable

you got to use your own charger to recharge it
